I don't think he was "horrible" but the perception of him was pretty tainted.

lol at perception, he crashed the fukking economy with republicans, he started two wars and added trillions of dollars to the debt don't revise history here.

50 years from now Bush's second term will be looked at as a disaster, but his first term and his handling of 9/11 he'll be looked at favorably.

depends on the political winds, but I don't think he'll ever really recover from 9/11. When people think of 9/11 they attach it to the Iraaq invasion and the alleged WMDs.

I don't know about Texas, but keep in mind that he won the popular vote in the largest margin in history as well in 2004.

Bush won 2004 because of 9/11.

If Clinton was hated so much during his term, then why did Al Gore get more overall popular votes than Bush? Don't let me get started on the whole Florida miss count shyt.

The 2nd term overshadows anything that happen in the 1st, he will remembered as the guy that left the country in it's worst state since the Depression. Like Clinton Said, when Republicans are in office Jobs aren't created on the same level as when Dems are in it. The numbers don't lie.

depends on who you talk to

Bush post 9/11 had like 90% approval rating...probably the most united we'll ever see this country in our lifetime

The Iraq war was just an awful decision though. Made no sense then and makes less now

I don't get the point, he won the popular vote by the largest margin in history, I guess people loved him then?

And I didn't say he was "hated" but I don't remember the excitement and jubilation until the last few years. Now Bush was "hated" in a lot of ways.

I guess you been hanging around a lot of Republicans. In the real world Clinton was always the man, but I forgot you are the same person that believe Bush wasn't a horrible president.

So with your ideology, there's no reason for me to wast my time responding to you. :yeshrug:

I think you wasted your time when you couldn't stick to making a point.

Either way I wasn't favoring one or the other or endorsing either one of them. I was just curious to see why was he so popular now and not so much when Gore ran.
