i think its important to study that stuff because that is really where the answers of our origins lie, but maybe we aren't meant to understand it.

But we are stuck with fantasy shyt like colonizing mars and stuff, instead of the more practical thing to do which is healing the planet we already live on. It just speaks to how we don't give a fukk and will give into our pleasures, live in la la land until something awful happens

banned so won't see this

but elon musk is working on both though

the average person with the mindset you describe is glorifying new frontiers cause that's the natural thing to do.. but when you get blasted and watch planet earth or just go out in nature, you truly see how amazing this planet is

We don't have the tech to leave the solar system yet so why obsess over what's light years away right now?

We don't have any thing in place for a catastrophic world ending event yet.. the tech gotta catch up to the ideas
we're not. we're just looking around the neighborhood. The hype around earth-like shyt is just hoping for finding sings of life beyond earth
mars is the focus right now since it's something we can actually achieve

Salute.

Voice to text can produce some crazy results. The further we have explored the ocean's depths the more life we have found. This is not true for space.

Until now, all the satellites have provided is more clues as to why we cannot live there. I'm not saying to stop space exploration, but let's go harder in our own ocean expeditions.

Who knows what is literally in our oceans that could provide a better understanding of how we may live and travel elsewhere. Maybe there is a mineral or lifeform that can prove to be medicinal (unlikely, but worth a shot).
Space exploration > ocean. I guarantee that the government has more info on life outside planet earth than they're admitting.

Maybe. Maybe. But I remember the director of NASA saying that if there was more information Not only would they happily share it it almost be obliged to share to get more funding For space exploration.

I would think the government would have the final say on that and they'd keep it hush. Imagine the possible hysteria it could cause.
