Lol. I like that "lieutenant" . didn't know this about ...@Ironman, he's multi faceted . I need to start following y'all more in other film room discussions .not in a creepy way lol, but you both seem to have good insight on movies/shows outside of this genre as well.

Felt like this movie could’ve been so much more. The setting for this movie SHOULD make for a scary movie, but nah that wasn’t the case.

Sinister fell off hard in the 2nd half. Sequel didn't do a good job recovering either.

Sinister is sinister you can't tell me that evil being aint inspired by MJ

saw the Nun about eight hours ago and in my opinion it's the best side story movie in the universe it had a great amount of comedy and left things that are scary about the Catholic Church (incorruptible bodies y'all)

To be honest when it started out in Romania I was thinking Vlad the implaler aka Dracula and the church being a blood church with the Nun holding shyt down

Early they teased the young girl having visions being related to Lorriane

BEST OF ALL they never talked about why the priest limped

Crooked Man might not be it

I liked The Nun well enough for what it is. At the very least it was a metric shyt ton better than both of those Annabelle movies.

Not really super scary (more creepy just because nuns and Catholicism are inherently creepy as fukk) and all of the jump scares were telegraphed using all the same directing tricks that all of these movies have been using ever since the demonic possession horror movie wave started.

The acting was good and I liked how they tied it into the overall Conjuring Universe aside from Valak/The Nun.

I think my biggest issue with the movie though was them casting Taissa Farmiga and not making her character be a young Lorraine Warren. It was distracting as fukk because she and Vera look a lot a like and are aged far enough apart that they could have used Taissa to do The Conjuring Prequels featuring Ed and Lorraine Warren.

There can't be a good Dracula movie for a long time because of that dumbass Dracula untold shyt

Dracula 2000 had it right by going the Vampires started from Judas not receiving the blood of Christ and it being his destiny for him and other of his ilk to get the blood of other to survive and the idea that Romania had true christans because of the shism would have been icing on the cake

But then Vampires are dead as a whole because of True Blood and twlight
