The Nolan Trilogy deserves strong consideration for GOAT trilogies, up there w/ Stah Wah, LotR's etc

What do we consider the best trilogies because truthfully, I don't think there are THAT many trilogies so it may get there just on the strength that the pool isn't deep. Back to the future trilogy, bourne trilogy, matrix trilogy, star wars, lord of the rings..is that it or am i missing something?

I'm not naming good ones just naming ones..Terminator doesn't count, Alien doesn't count, fast and furious definitely doesn't and neither does Rocky. These are franchise with at least four movies in their canon; to me a trilogy is 3 movies and that's it. Rocky has 6 movies plus a spinoff coming, fast and furious is working on their 8th one, Alien has four movies, a prequel, and working on a fifth right now. And terminator just had its fifth movie

Godfather would be one...MAYBE the Ocean's trilogy, but to me, a trilogy is three set of movies that tell one long overarching story, like back to the future or star wars or lord of the rings.

Lord of The Rings trilogy is the most well executed. You can argue that the 3rd movie might be the best. Personally the first Lord of The Rings is my favorite. But I can't begrudge anyone who says the 3rd is the best.
