This is the sh*t we dreamed about as kids, a realistic gritty Batman. Batman Begins is easily the best intro movie... nothing even comes close. The Dark Knight... well what else can be said about this piff? It's easily the single greatest Superhero movie. Rises was excellent... I think too many people nitpick on the whole Bane thing. But honestly where else could the series have gone after Ledgers death? If you look at it as a holistic story told across 3 movies it rivals Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Godfather, Matrix etc.

Honestly can you think of a better story told over 3 movies?

Yeah I'm going to have to agree it's at least top 5 ever and trilogy's are hard as fukk to successfully pull off

Star Wars suffers from what most trilogies suffer from, namely that 1 of the 3 films is subpar when compared to the rest of the trilogy. In the case of Star Wars it is Return of the Jedi; Nolan's Batman had TDKR; The Godfather had Part 3; Back to the Future had that awful 3rd movie

It wouldn't be wise to use reviews such as Star Wars as they came way after the fact. Rotten Tomatoes wasn't around then. If someone is told something is a classic for 30 years they are going to view it as a classic and not go in with an open mind.

We could use the Iron Man trilogy.

sure there are people out there that like jedi the least but it's still part of the family. it's not the red headed stepchild that godfather 3 is. not even close. most people don't even REMEMBER godfather 3. it might as well not even exist.

i really don't know anybody that draws the line after empire. most people apart of star wars and movie fandom love and appreciate the star wars trilogy as a whole. so what jedi drags a bit in the middle, not a big deal. it's still a classic.
