Sting will always have my respect for not going to the 'E. Don't get me wrong I wish he had but even he knew they would've done him wrong.

Lmao I remember when they showed Shane coming out on Nitro, I was flipping out and turned on another tv so I could watch both shows and ran back and forth between rooms. My mom was looking at me like :dahell:

i was real deep into dirtsheets at that time, i think it as prowrestling.net i was reading alot, when i told some cats i work with it was gonna happen nobody believed me until that monday night at work, the tv in the back reflected what i said would happen.

very surreal indeed.

The days of not readings dirtsheets and rumors made moments like this have me like :krs: cause I never expected it. I remember sitting in front of the TV in awe...

I remember this pretty clearly. Back then, my cable box didn't have sky sports on it, so the only WWF stuff i got to watch was Heat on Sunday afternoons, Whereas WCW stuff i got both Nitro and Thunder. Without having internet access, i actually wasn't aware WCW had been brought out, so when i saw Shane walking in on Nitro i had no idea wtf was happening.

Also, it meant i had no more WCW :sadbron:

Sting has gone on record recently saying he sorta regrets not signing with Vince. In hindsight, how bad did Vince REALLY do by guys who came in from WCW? And not just from when WCW got bought out. Think about it, people forget this moment...

Two former WCW guys both holding WWE AND World Heavyweight title. Doesn't get much bigger than that coming from the rival company just a few short years prior. Booker T also had a great run in the WWE.

Imagine the matches Vince could've put on with Sting even past his best years:

Rock vs Sting
HBK vs Sting
Undertaker vs Sting
Sting vs Cena
Sting vs Edge
Sting vs HHH

:why: God damn...

It's unfortunate that he never signed with them, but I never thought for a minute that Sting would've been made a mid card jobber. Undertaker vs Sting at Mania might've been one of the dopest angles ever going into Mania.

What was most surreal was putting your TV on TNT the next monday and seeing an episode of Law & Order :sadbron:

I think some of y'all are overlooking the fact that buff bagwell helped kill wcw also. Vince wanted to push him so he put buff in the main event with booker not only did they have a shyt match that drew hate from the crowd but buff showed up late and was also out of shape. Before this Vince was gonna have wcw as a separate brand so burying talent wouldn't have been much of an option

That's so nitpicky and weak though..to judge so many by so few and especially an idiot like Buff Bagwell. Shows how out of sorts Vince is...in the end, it was Benoit and Eddie proving that, small or not, pushed HARD OR NOT, they were gonna get standing ovations and get over.

I thought Benoit was hurt during the invasion and pushing Eddie would've came back and bit them in the ass after that drunk driving incident. They had no hogan no Nash no Goldberg and no sting. They did have ddp, bagwell, and booker. I'm all for shytting on Vince but at least he made an attempt
