Zero nfl experience is THE thing. Who argued for them being niqqas straight off the street? :what:

I got the impression from some posts that the refs would be a disaster. If I was mistaken, then I apologize

But why are they so bad, you don't seem to take this into account. You know know they are bad, so why is unknown worse than something that is known to be bad?

The logic doesn't add up.

My logic adds up because you're overemphasizing NFL refs being bad and making these new refs out to be a potential fix to them.

No i`m really not, i`m saying give them a shot.

IF everyone agrees something is bad, then what is the outrage of trying it a different way?

They could be terrible or they could be great, we simply don't know, you're assuming too much

I had a MLB Umpire come into my store last week, spent like an hour talking sports with dude. He put the strike in perspective for me

I'm a little torn on this. One part of me says this could be good maybe they'll let the players play a little bit and not call the bs roughing the passer calls and be so protective but on the otherhand they could call it even tighter than normal refs.
But I can guarantee you they won't be young. How often do you see young refs

Because a bad you know most of the time is better than the complete unknown and inexperienced.

I dont know the background behidn this, but dont these refs get paid $150,000 year or so?

You work 3 hrs, once a week and get paid that much. I'd sit my old ass down and be happy

Young as in comparison to NFL standards, i`m talking early 40`s.. Ed Hochuli and Mike Carey are both 60+, Jerry Markbreith was fukking 73 and was still calling games.

Stop with the inexperienced angle, these guys will be refs in other leagues who`ve called plenty of live-action games.

As for the current refs being better than the unknown, it's possible, but we just don't know. These newer refs could be younger and better, we just don't know one way or the other.

No....it's true. They're inexperienced NFL referees.

It's amazing how you completely bypass the apprenticeship that comes with being a new NFL ref learning from older refs.

The NFL's search would target retired college officials and perhaps current ones who would be qualified to work professional games.

There goes the OLD excuse out the window!!!

LOL omg this is terrible! damn it's only gonna get worse now. Tom is gonna get his block knocked off, the D lineman will
think it's a fumble pick it up cross the goal line with a human head....and the ref will say: "touchdooooowwwwn" .

All this time, these cats in here are defending retired college football refs to take the place of these "bad NFL" refs.
