Dems lost and suddenly everyone is a political prognosticator and strategist now.
I guess I’ll hop on that wave for a minute…
Dems lost primarily because Kamala is a woman, also a woman of color, facing an enigma in Trump, who preaches rhetoric to the biases of bigoted Whites of a woke boogeyman coming to take these All-American White folks (particularly White men’s) piece of the American Dream.
Even that “Make America Great Again” a slogan primarily targeted at White men is symbolic of a time when they exclusively held power in leadership, government, and wealth. Minorities and women need not apply.
It’s actually quite simple. Some of you all want to make Trump and Republicans out to be political savants and messengers when they are not.
Dems are going to have to cool it for a while on those culture wars like abortion rights, LBGTQ rights, and trying to save these women and immigrants from themselves. Too many of them have shown themselves to also be bigoted and they’ll either sit home and not vote, vote 3rd party, or vote for the guy they like instead of the person pushing policies that will benefit them. It’s Stockholm syndrome packaged with those Hispanic immigrants, gays, and White women wanting to feel like they are better than someone else.
When you can play the low men/women on the totem pole against each other you can manipulate them.
It’s makes for a fascinating case study in human psychology.
To my point about the Dems though, they’ll have to find a middle aged White man that is charismatic, but also speaks to and can identify with some of these lower middle class and poor Rust Belt and rural American cacs that work blue collar jobs.
I have my opinions about that demographic, but you need some of their votes to win and you can’t completely ignore them.
I’d be grooming a guy or two now to run for 2028.
The platform should should strictly revolve around the economy, lowering and stabilizing the cost of goods and services, lowering federal taxes, and affordable college and technical school education for everyone. Those touch everyone regardless of race.
By all means STAY AWAY from pandering to women and gays for a while. I don’t think we’ll see a serious female candidate at the top of either party’s ticket again for a very long time. Although, I don’t have a problem with female leadership a lot of people in America do.
