blame your local djs for flooding the mixtape and club scene with this one sound breh...im just appreciating :manny: put me on
You right. It really boils down to the DJs/clubs. Atlanta is built more off the streets than the internet, buzzwise. And given our position as a Hip-Hop/Urban capital, whatever is played here is gonna get played everywhere.

I just hate the fact that that sound is what most people think ALL of Atlanta sound like. No other city gets boxed in as much as we do. NOWHERE.

:upsetfavre: at this whole thread. nikkas really think/act like all of Atlanta music is on the same shyt. Whole thread screams agenda with these music blog writeup lookin ass posts. If nikkas really looking for Atlanta music or tryna put others on to it, show all sides of the Atlanta spectrum.:aicmon:

damn near nobody here even knows about the nikkas i be postin :yeshrug: i dont see the point in posting trap shyt like everyone else cuz there's a shytload of pages with that stuff

The Fader just posted that father track i just posted and they said this nikka sounds similar to The Cook Kids in 2007 :mjlol:

im also fukkin with this Space talk Ep from FreezaMode(Lui Diamonds x Pyramid Quince) heavy right now

i liked his other track "do it" as well

if we were posting things outside of rap i'd have more shyt to share :ld::manny:

i beg to differ. ATL might have one of the strongest street scenes in the country, if not THE strongest street scene

I feel you but I'm moreso talking about the underground music scene today.

Even in all the sound changes Atlanta has made in the last 15 years, it's almost always ONE wave that pops at a time that EVERYBODY hops on. Snap, Rockstar, Crank, Trap, Swag, and so forth. One or two acts get on and then 50leven nikkas come out the woodworks wit the same shyt. That shyt gets played out, rinse, repeat.

In the meantime, there's been plenty of Atlanta acts doing different shyt underground over the last 5-10 years that didn't get the love they deserved inside or outside the city cuz they weren't on the same wave everybody else on.

We're boxed in really when it comes to true Hip-Hop. LA can have Kendrick and YG, Chicago can have Chance and Chief Keef, but all we can have is Young Thug, RHQ, Migos, and whoever else on they coattails. Even artists on another wave who do get attention like Cyhi and Childish Gambino don't get looked at like they're ATLANTA artists.

Maybe it's like this everywhere, idk. I've only been in Atlanta my whole life. But with such a national eye on our music, you would think that the other shyt comin outta here would get more looks.

Cyhi and Bino don't rep atlanta like that so that's on them :manny:

the only "true hip hop" nikka on the mainstage right now is prolly kendrick and MAYBE like 4 others, and that's out of the entire country bruh, the same way alot of underground ATL gets overlooks, underground NOLA gets overlooked, underground NY gets overlooked, etc. etc.

it aint specific to ATL :yeshrug: it's just that rap has by far the shytTIEST network of scumbag bloggers/radio personalities/pr people who only want to promote a certain thing

for inherent reasons of course :mjpls::snoop:
