This. The whole argument that was put forward on the Marvel side of the Avengers vs. MoS destruction resonance debates was that in Avengers it WAS a big deal. The montage at the end of the film let you know that the whole battle fukked shyt up. People died, things had to be rebuilt, but you saw the Avengers doing the best they could to minimize it and save people when they could.
Simply put, DD is confirming what we already knew and adding something of a number to it by saying that hundreds died.
