If you don't like it, you don't like it, but being annoyed by the fact that the vast majority are praising the album (for good reason) is pretty pathetic.

lol at feeling validated by some clown's review of the album.

Pipe down son, you have nas in your avy and sig. Your opinion is too biased to post anything meaningful or worthwhile on the subject.

No I'm more glad that a reviewer/regular listener had the balls to call out this frankly bad album for what it is ie uninspiring, bland, outdated, cheaply produced, terrible sounding hip hop. Simples.

It's a good opinion, and is better than the lame people so staved for 'real hip hop' that they can't actually formulate an opinion worth anything. They were going to love it regardless, which means they shouldn't have an opinion at all.

SMH at anybody taking what he was to say seriously. The second I got a look at him it was a wrap for me. There'd be no reason for me to ever discuss anything with him or even take seriously anything he has to say. He looks like a future hate crime victim who won't even bother defending himself during the incident.

the album is dope to alot of people some of you nikkaz need to deal with it:manny:

:leostare: I think to fit in with the flow of the thread the opposite should've been posted to make any sense

and the album is very average.

Although the review was buttcheeks because of his lack of knowledge of nas's history and willingness to give out misinformation to his listeners

I think that some parts of this NaS album are nicer than a lot of his newer albums, but it's still pretty meh. Fantano may be a hipster, but I think he's kind of on point. I agree with what he said about "The Don": cool beat, but pretty meh. Nasty is fun, but the subject matter is kind of whatever as well. I disagree with his take on "Loco-motive" though, I really liked the beat and Nas' flow. Also with Daughters- good idea but there seemed to be something missing. Queens story has a legit beat though, I dunno why he is hating. You wouldn't understand has a horrible hook and the beat is boring. World's an addiction also has a kind of boring beat and lame hook. I could mention each track but it's whatever... everyone has their own opinions. I like how he re used that beat on reach out but the subject matter on this whole album is lacking something. I guess he's just too commercial now? I miss Illmatic nas but I know it's never coming back. I would take stillmatic nas and that is not here.

I think people are maybe feeling it because it is nicer than a lot of the garbage out now... but in the grand scheme of hip hop it has a few decent tracks but nothing too special. I also don't understand why the fukk Rick Ross is on this record. I tried to like this album but I think I will give it a 5 in the grand scheme of things... comparing it to mainstream hip hop now I would give it like a 7. Best tracks in no particular order: No Introduction, Queens Story, Loco-motive, Stay, Trust, and Cherry Wine although it is a little corny.

much better beats than he usually has but its just kinda whatever... I'd rather just bump some older shyt.

Anyway fukk all that,

We know there's enough good material on this album to say its a good album. End of the day if you like it you like it.

Streets Disciple got good reviews from the hipsters and the SOHH heads initially...and I still like that album to be honest, even if everyone else now views it worse than I am/Nastradamus.

If you like it, who cares what the next man thinks? Just state the tracks you dig and why and if they can't see your side, then its cool and move.

End of the Nas has gotten enough respect for this album so far that its okay.

People were calling Street's Disciple classic.

Including the critics.

I remember it getting some good reviews early on.

Then again, I never had an issue with that album, and that was a solid 4 mics.
