Seems like he's unable to just enjoy this album at all because he's hellbent on reaffirming the opinion that Nas has gotten progressively more washed-up as years have went by

He gives no credit to the production and its easily the most diverse and interesting stuff hes rhymed over in a while

Meh, I love the album. I wasnt hoping for Nas to go-left or do anything out of his element

what do you mean?

most of nas's work in his career has been low quality and out of his element.

his whole career has been a bad lefthand turn, into oncoming traffic.

down the wrong rampway onto the autobahn.

well that attitude is also,..why you are not a better bboy or poster than big mel.

until you can surpass big mel's braintrust culturally and submission to the board.

i don't think you can be so closeminded.

as i really don't get this culturally proficient vibe from you like that.

i don't even think yoi are a bboy like that either...

i would enjoy of you could showcase you were, though.

i always like to see if someone is culturally proficient or has skills.

so i guess today marks the day.

you put forth the effort.

to culturally be a high quality culturally enriching contributing poster.

originally, when they were expertly playing the role culturally.

you gave them marks based on their contribution.

off the fact they appeared to be a good march in a certain direction.

which i will admit,..as a critic when the late nineties sales spike era creared erosion.

defrading the game critically,..you were forced to either stop listening to rap.

or go back and give sort of a respect to more old school way of thought sentiments. when it came to music, being released and watch with a keen eye.

from the perspective of it maybe growing into something better via ramping up.

when it became painfully obvious.

no one really was capable of ramping up.

as their skillsbase were technically flawed and inferior, purposefully.

from lack of study or culturally not being aware of emcee'n all together.

plus the old school way of thought was phased out originally.

as it had reached its apex.

when the new school way of thought took over for only about a decade.

now,..we see how degradative and poisonous.

ultimately embracing old school way of thought sentiments past their time is.

i think you will see critics who have a longer history. rating albums music wise, closer to what they are as a long term submission culturally, and skillwise.

as records used to be rated in the original envelope of the new school way of thought.

nas's lp was rated accurrately by fantano.

if you know of fantano and how he rates music and why.

plus he gave an incredible elaborate review of the lp.

which others have not and simply lied or exposed they were a payola noob bot.

with a pedestrian understsnding of what makes a rap record really great.

not just following the bulk of mindless toy like sheep.

who now all inhabit the rap world by sheer over population and saturation.

who think their measily overcrowded population is the actual voice of hiphop.

He's saying as result of the nuclear fallout from the sales spike era promising new groups like Odd Future were initially able to garner props from otherwise astute fans and participants without being vetted properly in hopes they'd build their skills ala Mobb Deep on Infamous or some shyt.

The old school way of thought is the old, sugarhill shyt where biting and faking jax superseded true b boy culture for cash grabs.

People can't have an opinion these days without being a faggit, hipster, or cac. Instead of name calling refute what dude is saying.

I'm not in agreeance with the name calling, but there's no way you can refute what dude says b/c music is subjective and relative to personal taste.

HOWEVER, this dude dissed some great tracks like "You Wouldnt Understand"

I'm sure the majority of us who like the album, like that track. And dude just basically caled it garbage.

Maybe he shouldnt be reviewing certain albums

I never heard of that dude before. But if you are telling me he fell for the Odd Future hype then that tells me all I need to know. Fact he has a black girl probably makes him extra comfortable. At the same time, is anyone surprised that not everyone loves the album? I don't really trust art that gets 100% cosign. I don't mind that rating in hindsight but upfront is basically a bet. For example does anyone still feel MBDTF is the savior of mankind that every critic said it was? I can't remember the last time I played that depressing album.
