I wrote more to my post, if you can find me one hiphop review hes wrote for a popular hiphop artist that was in the mainstream then ill withdraw my statement. Dude gives small hiphop artist good reviews and big ones bad reviews, I can guarantee he'll hate Kendrick's next project if hes blown up by that time.

You don't think that Nas is closer to The Roots than he is to Kanye?

He panned it thank fukk

The adoration of this mediocre album is sickening.
If you don't like it, you don't like it, but being annoyed by the fact that the vast majority are praising the album (for good reason) is pretty pathetic.

lol at feeling validated by some clown's review of the album.

how many times are nikkas going to post this shyt does his opinion mean that much
About as much as you, me, or anyone else. He's usually pretty descriptive and insightful. Thats all you really look for from a reviewer anyway. I think people get it twisted when they start to think that reviewers are supposed to tell you whether or not you should like something and whether they are the end all be all of what is good or not. Simply dudes that get paid to do something or do it as a hobby brehs

The roots are a band so that makes him feel more close to his subject matter and opinion. Needledrop is a guaranteed whiteboy that started listening to hiphop in the mid to late 2000's, I just cant take his opinion serious on anything that isnt experimental hiphop like Outkast, this new wave of hiphop like Kendrick, absoul and whoever else and bands like The Roots.

great review!!

completely on topic and in the pocket of nas as an artist.

not as a fanboy, consistently turning his head and a blind ear to the facts.

i consistently and thoroughly applaud, anthony fantano,..again.

I hate this hipster, I remember he was stanning Odd Future :scusthov:

originally, when they were expertly playing the role culturally.

you gave them marks based on their contribution.

off the fact they appeared to be a good march in a certain direction.

which i will admit,..as a critic when the late nineties sales spike era creared erosion.

defrading the game critically,..you were forced to either stop listening to rap.

or go back and give sort of a respect to more old school way of thought sentiments. when it came to music, being released and watch with a keen eye.

from the perspective of it maybe growing into something better via ramping up.

when it became painfully obvious.

no one really was capable of ramping up.

as their skillsbase were technically flawed and inferior, purposefully.

from lack of study or culturally not being aware of emcee'n all together.

plus the old school way of thought was phased out originally.

as it had reached its apex.

when the new school way of thought took over for only about a decade.

now,..we see how degradative and poisonous.

ultimately embracing old school way of thought sentiments past their time is.

i think you will see critics who have a longer history. rating albums music wise, closer to what they are as a long term submission culturally, and skillwise.

as records used to be rated in the original envelope of the new school way of thought.

nas's lp was rated accurrately by fantano.

if you know of fantano and how he rates music and why.

plus he gave an incredible elaborate review of the lp.

which others have not and simply lied or exposed they were a payola noob bot.

with a pedestrian understsnding of what makes a rap record really great.

not just following the bulk of mindless toy like sheep.

who now all inhabit the rap world by sheer over population and saturation.

who think their measily overcrowded population is the actual voice of hiphop.

I've listened to this album more than a few times. I can't rate this up there with Illmatic, IWW, Stillmatic, or even HHID. This lurks in the average/below average pool with Untitled, Gods Son, and Nastradamus...

Strangely enough I can see how this LP works for today's hip hop fan. Very emo, non-agressive music Nas put out here. Plus the rehashing of his Kelis marriage is some sucker shyt fareal. Why give a damn if you were the one who left her stank ass?

I give it a 6/10. Only thing saving this from the recycle bin is some of the bonus cuts. I shouldn't have to TRY to like a Nas album. Either it's bangin or it ain't.:aicmon:

His girl's on that :mjpls: steez

his gf is a great björk fan.

plus she is black,...

i know how lonely it is.

to be a black man and björk's biggest male fan.

plus what that is,..so i don't blame her, or slight her for dating fantano.

like i typically table most blackwomen who date whitecats.
in her landscape, it must be difficult to find someone.

who shares her braintrust that is black and knowledgeable of music, period.

so i understood and gave an exception to her.

for dating a whitecat who really knows music.

i think their relationship was kitten fuzzy and cool as a matter of fact.

as you could see two record lovers.

who had real love and admiration for one another.

plus the sheer low percentage of really finding someone of the opposite sex.

who knows music well enough to even include in your listening or life.

let alone your review show.

plus, she knows more about björk than him.

while adding, incredible insight in that episode.

so stfu,.......[well that was harsh and since i actually like you as a poster,..i think let's just hush it on this issue is a better retort]

has never found and dated a black woman who even knows what a björk is.

Seems like he's unable to just enjoy this album at all because he's hellbent on reaffirming the opinion that Nas has gotten progressively more washed-up as years have went by

fukkem, I love the album. I wasnt hoping for Nas to go-left or do anything out of his element. Theres 19 new tracks of Nas spazzing lyrically with some mostly-good production. 4/10? :aicmon: :beli:

i dont take cacs opinions on hiphop serious.

well that attitude is also,..why you are not a better bboy or poster than big mel.

until you can surpass big mel's braintrust culturally and submission to the board.

i don't think you can be so closeminded.

as i really don't get this culturally proficient vibe from you like that.

i don't even think yoi are a bboy like that either...

i would enjoy of you could showcase you were, though.

i always like to see if someone is culturally proficient or has skills.

so i guess today marks the day.

you put forth the effort.

to culturally be a high quality culturally enriching contributing poster.
