Some of his comparisons were off base and I think he was too harsh on the album. There's definitely good songs and Sixteen is one of them. I did agree with a few of his points but he doesn't seem like a fan of hiphop

"he's not whippin chickens!" LOL. Honestly he summed up Ross pretty well I think, and he killed it with the scarface comparison. Ross is an above average rapper, but he doesn't tell stories and most of his raps are about the imaginary extravagance he indulges in. This album offers us nothing we haven't heard from him before. And I'm still tight he didn't stay on topic on devil in a new dress, although his verse was crack

Dude was right about the delusional/repetitive nature of Ross' music, he makes dumb music but if that's what you're into then that's fine breh.

"Stale-y is on this track"

:lolbron::pachaha:

Just watched the review, and while I went to bat for Nas and trashed his LIG review, Fantano definitely hit the nail on the head with this one.

I actually really like this album, and think its Ross' best after TD, but his a lot of his criticisms are legit. A lot of people still buy into the Rick Ross "brand" but it is time to evolve...The Scarface analogy was definitely on point

His solo sucked beyond criticism, but Andre's VERSE was AVERAGE? He hasnt killed a verse like that since Int'l Players Anthem IMO

And I set off these alarms, when camera’s snap snap snap snap
Return fire, pap-pap-pap pap pap-pap pap pap pap
They’ll learn why mere privacys so essential
Won't make no laws, I break they laws til they see out our window
I take the fall to make them all treat human kind more gentle
Forsake them all, I hate them all, don’t like em, don’t pretend to :wow:

Good review, but I disagree with some parts of it and would give the album a 7.5. Dude holds Ross to a standard thats a little unnecessary, when its really just simple feel-good music. Should Ross ever WANT to be taken seriously, he might wanna take heed of the advice given

He usually rates albums lower than higher.

The only albums I've seen him give a good rating is section 80 (8), liveloveasap (8), and returnof4eva (9)

No rap album has got a 10. Everything eles got a 6 or lower. (WTT - 5, take care - 6, carter 4 - 4)

Actually the Money Store got his one and only 10

"A really underwhelming verse from Andre 3000."

:wtf:

that three stacks verse was the business, just for the house porch/horse porsche line, only insightful thing (sans nas verse) in the whole album...reviewer still made some points, altho people understate the beat selection, there's a certain genius to it. The 'officer ricky' thing trapped him, he cant break out of mafioso mode for fear of public confirmation so he digs deeper (see Mitt Romeny)

If Juice, Grand Puba or any of the nikkas you cosign dropped an album tomorrow, he wouldn't even review them wack shyts for the fact he doesn't even know they exist because he started dikkriding hiphop music a couple years ago. The fact that you cosign this CAC shows how disillusioned your old ass is becoming, he can give two fukks about this genre we love. He shyts on every hiphop album except new artist or hipster shyt.

:dead:

In all seriousness, me being a cackalacky cac I gotta say this shyt...........this nerd review is 100% ass.

Why?

I'll be clear.

Rap ain't science, rap ain't math (except when talkin bout countin money).............so talkin shyt like "ross is not real" and "that beat has a good mood but the chord progression isn't in tune to the background bassline after the D note" is just lame.

Critics suck. Nikbag is at least entertaining.

nikkas sound SCARED.... "i d-d-dont care how point he is, hes a CAC, RICK ROSS IS THE SPIRIT OF BIGGIE" :comeon:
