Its the truth. Dudes crack me up when they mention "oh its the media or oh dudes are dumb as hell but don't know what they are talking about". Place those players in the same shoes they would be crying and whining.

The Eagles saved Chris Carter life by trading him to the Vikings in the late 80s early 90s because they knew Minnesota was nothing compared to the large cities such as Philly, New York, etc.... Dudes talking reckless but don't know what they talkin about. No players especially young would wanna play in thosehorrible cities.

if they wanna get paid they will :usure:

DHoward just said if he gets traded to the Lakers he won't sign an extension. what kind of shyt is that? Think about it if a kid is drafted, traded to, or signs with the Lakers they are :ooh::lawd::win:

but now stars are saying no to THE PURPLE & GOLD???:wtf: So should the Lakers be contracted? what I'm saying is all this goes around in cycles. The teams you guys are saying should be eliminated have had winning teams and nice runs in the past. The Kings, Bucks(anybody remember the Ray Allen, Cassell, Big Dog squad), Jazz, Pacers, etc. These teams have nice histories.

This dude D12 has got to be the weirdest 'superstar' ever what does he really want? How is LA the end all be all for the goats like Wilt, Shaq and Kareem but this kool aid blooded fool don't wanna sign off on a contract to get a trade done?:pacspit:

I hate the Lakers but I think I hate this bummy fool more, he will easily end up more hated by hardcore NBA fans by the time this foolishness ends.

ATL to MEM
Players are having no problems in OKC, Utah, Boston, Indiana, etc. maybe the mega star won't sign(outside of Durant) there but they're getting good young players to play there. Cleveland had Bron for 7 years, Shaq agreed to play there so players will play for a not so glamorous market. Hell players just now finally want to play for the Clipps and they've been in LA for 30 years. NY Knicks had some dark years where some players stayed away and that's NEW YORK! Derron Williams at times sounded like he didn't give a fukk about the Big Apple and was gonna go to Texas.

These cities aren't as bad as you guys make them out to be. If you're getting paid millions it doesn't matter where you play at. Maybe for the spotlight craving stars like the Melo's, Bron's and DHoward's but I can't imagine most players/2nd tier stars worrying about the city as long as that big check clears. and really somebody explain to me ATL. That city should be a pro athlete's dream town but nobody is beating down there does to suit up.

Management has been stupid since forever. They really have had no idea at all as to what they are doing. N*ggas are still mad about Nique and Danny Manning.

That's a long long time ago though. Most players aren't aware of the Nique situation. ATL should be a premier destination for any athlete no matter the sport or league. Get a mansion for cheap, b*tches and nightspots galore, pretty good weather, etc.

The NBA should not have guaranteed contracts. Like the NFL you can drop dead weight like a dude like Eddie Curry. This guy is an anchor dragging teams down with his ridiculous contract. He should have been out the league years ago.

Expansion really hurt the league. There's too many damn teams

23-24 is good enough, NBA got the least amount of parity of every sport

Like i said, management was dumb. Overpaying players, drafting the wrong players, owners suing each other, artificial salary caps being placed on payroll, etc.... Hawks management has been absolute shyt for a long time.

What would happen to the players on the contracted teams, would there be a draft or just go to free agency?

I would imagine roster size would move to 14-15 and cap would be raised to 90-100 mil

Just as it was just getting good
Danny Ferry's last 2 moves are proof that any team in any market can change their fortunes instantly and that building a winner is possible anywhere. San Antonio is a large city but small media market yet they've been competitive most of their existence. Larger markets tend to have a larger margin of error, but if they're managed poorly the competition will outperform them no matter where they are.

This. nikkas love big markets but they love money even more. Bron is the only nikka I can think of that ever left money on the table to move to a better market and let's not forget he's a guy that makes plenty of money in endorsements and Florida doesn't have a state tax. He ended up getting signed and traded anyway. There is a long list of nikkas who left small markets for big ones but the list of nikkas who left a small market for a big one and took less money is what...2?

SA and OKC are perfect examples of what small markets have to do in order to compete...draft well and make good trades and FA pickups. Small markets don't have the margin for error that LA or NY does but they can compete if they do things right. I don't think they should necessarily contract by markets size as much as how well the team is ran.

Draft would be the smartest and most fair way to go IMO.
