I'm surprised because the 10 minute preview they released a month ago wasn't anything like today's show. They kept a few similar jokes in but it wasn't the storyline that tonight's pilot was. They dove right in to the basis of the show with this pilot.
I enjoyed it. I hope it doesn't get clobbered by Scream Queens.

I think it'll fine. Their target audiences don't have a lot of overlap. Some but not a lot.
