This doesn't sound good to me. Anytime I hear "reboot", I think the worst. And who is hating on the humor besides the guy who does AV Club reviews and wants the show to be some kind of deep study in muppet relationships and the "million" offended moms?

Won't overreact but the show is damn near perfect the way it is. Everybody is shining and there aren't any weak characters.
I think there's been a constant push pull with the tone of the show. A lot of the reviews I've read constantly get on the show for being kinda mean spirited or just putting the muppets in typical sitcom situations and not really being innovative. I don't entirely agree but I see the arguments especially the last one. So maybe that's the issue behind the scenes too just trying to figure out what the show really is or what it should be.
