Whats wrong wit yall crying over the misrepresentation of sinaloa drug traffickers in cinema. LmaoI am sure Eastwood, as an ancient white man is humble, and though conflicted, an honorable man, while the Sinaloa traffickers are savage killers and ruthless gangsters.
‘The Mule’ Review: Clint Eastwood’s Very Strange Drug Trip
Pretty much exactly as I have described it in here, the audacity to paint this guy, who trafficked for over 10 years, as spending a year or so in the business, is just offensively blatant. A good American guy gone wrong. But redeemed.
Here is the first trailer for The Mule, which marks Clint Eastwood’s first time in front of and behind the camera since Gran Torino in 2008. He plays Earl Stone — broke, alone and facing foreclosure of his business. Then he is offered a job that simply requires him to drive. Easy enough, it would seem. But Earl doesn’t know that he just signed on as a drug courier for a Mexican cartel. He does so well that his cargo increases exponentially, and Earl is assigned a handler. But he isn’t the only one keeping tabs on this mysterious new mule: He also has also hit the radar of a hard-charging DEA agent (Bradley Cooper). But as his money problems fade, Earl’s past mistakes start to weigh heavily on him, and it’s uncertain if he’ll have time to right those wrongs before law enforcement, or the cartel’s enforcers, catch up to him.
Cooper, Laurence Fishburne, Michael Peña, Dianne Wiest and Andy Garcia co-star in the Warner Bros film from Imperative Entertainment and BRON Creative, along with Alison Eastwood, Taissa Farmiga, Ignacio Serricchio, Loren Dean and Eugene Cordero. Nick Schenk, who also penned Gran Tarino, scripted The Mule, which opens December 14.
Eastwood is basically a hack at this point. The Mule is deeply inelegant filmmaking and just remarkably bland. One of the worst films I've seen this year.
I love this.
I'm enjoying stupid movies lately like this and bird box.
I think this newong work commute has turned me into a casual
You can really see the decline with this flick. The writing is bad and the first thing I noticed. Eastwood also seemed like he wanted to fulfill a fantasy with the "sex" scenes. Or maybe he just wanted to grab some ass and making the Mexicans look silly.Eastwood is basically a hack at this point. The Mule is deeply inelegant filmmaking and just remarkably bland. You're reading things into it because of his politics outside of the movie, but most gangster movies are like that. The main character is flawed, but not a bad guy like a lot of the people he's around.
There was some directional choices I do have to give Eastwood the side eye about, but otherwise it was a nice matinee.didn't finish it. don't plan to. felt like a b-movie
