Yeah. Either way what purpose would a boss serve in the game? You're not fighting huge monsters, you're surviving among humans, infected and fully infected people(clicker).
It would add more gameplay variety and more intensity. The part with the bloater in the motel was one of the most intense moments in the game imo very atmospheric.

:ehh:

There aren't many enemy types you have your bloaters, tickers, normal zombies and humans no real puzzles and there's like one boss fight where you play as ellie against that cannibal pedo and you can't let him hear you touch the glass. It's a good game but it's not revolutionary in any way and I find it annoying that a lot of the gaming media considers it as one of the best games ever just because of its story. Also it's super linear you can't even go backwards because of the invisible walls. Not asking it to be open world just more flexible even in Resident evil 4 you can backtrack.

I'm not a Naughty dog hater either I enjoyed Uncharted 2 a hell of a lot more and crash bandicoot back in the day was piff.

That's just my personal opinion. I might have to go back and play it again one day.
I agree with your critique of there not being a ton of enemy types, though one could argue the game is really a stealth game. Traditionally stealth games have like 1-3 enemy types. And I think it did a lot of interesting gameplay things, like the crafting on the fly, using bricks and 2x4s in the environment, and in general how well they blended TPS controls and melee controls. Also the stealth gameplay was really good.

And then yeah, the story moments and overall epicness of the game made it a classic for me. shyt felt like Half-Life 2 in terms of level design and how every section of the game was interconnected.

Your trolling is so corny
:snooze:

I am telling my real opinion. Alien Isolation has a much better gameplay, atmosphere, and graphics. One of the best games in the last couple of years.

Have you actually played it? Cause it seems like you can't believe anything can be better than a PS exclusive.

Story is easily the most overrated aspect of it. We're supposed to get the feeling of humanity fighting for its life in the wake of an apocalypse but theyre are so many people around it destroys any sense of apocalypse. If Joel's killing so many people with so little hesitation where's the tension? Is humanity really any more valuable after the apocalypse hits? The part in Pittsburgh kills me, theres a half hour long sequence where literally an entire army of bandits are trying to gun you down while youre killing them just as quickly. How are there that many people still around? So at the end when the big reveal is either save ellie and condemn humanity or let her die for a cure everything just falls flat on its face. They dont need to kill ellie because for twenty fukking years humanity is still alive and kicking. If anything human life is even less precious than it was before shyt hit the fan. Theres no sense of stakes at all. The entire narrative is one big plothole

But everyone's already made their mind up on their favorite game :yeshrug:

Exactly. Not to mention that we already heard that corny "zombie apocalypse" story many times before.

the crafting was great but the melee combat could have had a little more depth. But if you compare it to the best stealth games the MGS games and the splinter cells the stealth is very bare bones, obviously they are very different settings.

The mindset of gamers today. Always complaining about staleness and then turn right around and ask for more of it. What is this typical flow chart bullshyt you posted? Not enough enemies? You won't zombie grunts, grenadiers, etc like GOW. Not enough boss fights? Puzzles? It's a realistic survival horro game in its purest form. Not a superhero game. The reason this game is so great is not just because of it's amazing story. It's the great design elements that is in it. Adds a whole new dimension to the gameplay. I only have a break, half a shiv, and two bullets. Can I sneak around these runners? Should I use this shiv to open a drawer or use it for an enemy. Stuff like that. In addition to the well fleshed out characters. You cared and remembered everyone. I was literally thinking about this game days later after I beat it( and I beat it in like 3 days where it usually takes me months) Thats why its Goat. That's why it's so universally praised. That's why it's 10/10. I didn't even get into the MP which is another thesis. But what other game in the last five years can honestly say that got every aspect right like TLOU?
