The more I look into crypto, I just can't believe this shyt is as popular as it is. When this bubble burst, whats gonna happen to the financial system

High Functioning Pyramid Scheme but so are fiat currencies.

nope. national fiat has the power to pay your debts.

national fiat has the power to pay national debts.

It only works if everyone continues to buy in. It's an interesting experiment in human behaviour.

nope.

it can work with a constant amount of participants.

It depends how you define "scam". You could argue that fiat money is also a "scam"

The bottom line is, can it do what it promises it can? If so, technically not a scam. But there's definitely ways you can use it to scam people. Just like you can use cash, stocks, real estate, etc. to scam people. Doesn't necessarily make the thing itself a scam.

Assuming you are talking about Bitcoin that doesn't make sense. If you believe that it can flip gold and or become a global reserve of value it doesn't even make sense to sell yet

Tether, a company with less than 20 employees has printed more than $120 billion dollars. If they were a country they’d be ranked 61 out 170. Y’all pro-bitcoiners think that’s legit?:mjlol:
Idk how high BTC will go, but it’ll definitely collapse eventually because this isn’t feasible.

The sheer ignorance in this thread is unreal.

This is how y'all are spending your christmas eve? :gucci:

Listen, if you don't understand something then go pick up a book. However, if you are going to be intellectually lazy then don't speak on it. By 2030-2035 nikkaz like myself will be laughing at you for not taking the time to understand blockchain, cryptography, tokenization, and how money is changing.
The more I read, the less sense it makes. Again, yall don't even know who invented this shyt.

shyt is annoying. As per usual crypto rallies high and we get 10000 threads on it and people talking about it everywhere. Then when it dips no threads and a bunch of people going around saying "I told you so it's a ponzi scheme". Rinse and repeat.

Keep in mind crypto was never meant to be an investment. It is a form of currency. But people saw the huge changes in exchange rates and how it could be driven up and saw they could make money off of it. Hence we are here now. Like others said it's risky but you can make a grip off of it as well. If you're buying crypto as an investment this falls into the realm of speculation. You also have to put a lot in to get a lot out these days. This isn't 2013 where you could have put a rack in and it be worth millions today. But it could be in 2033...it could also be worth 100s then too.

I have mixed feelings

BTC and ETH probably the only ones people got really really rich off of because I think those were the beginning-type coins. And this shyt took decades to get enough people to push it up this far.

It does seem pyramid scheme-ish, but you can still throw in some money on BTC and ETH to let it do something I guess.

I don’t trust the people who push it, but you can make money. I don’t think you are making life changing money right now if you just got into it, but time will tell if it matters.

I just got a lil bit in a lil bit. It’s similar to stock market day trading bullshyt to me.. but I am not as educated in it yet. I just know a lil but from what I did during covid.

From the decade it took Bitcoin to get this high is where I got it from. Bitcoin being the main coin everywhere

Bitcoin was created in 2009.

You can say the same thing about the dollar, and there's tangible proof of concepts for all of the ills of the current monetary system
