Of course you don't get it.

Man, the short bus brigade is heavy in here. I should have just just ignored this dumbass thread lol.
You didn't get it.
At one time Bitcoin wasnt even used on the surface web.
Onions have layers for a reason.
Before they took down Ulbricht and before there was even a stablecoin most crypto transactions was dope, snuff films, cp, etc. Logged on the Blockchain and all.

Im well aware of those days. I studied BTC in 2012 and invested in it in 2013.

I used to log in to the tor network, and saw what could be bought with btc on silk road.

Doesn't change anything I said earlier.

Its not a Ponzi, its the same like the stock market, or anything that participates in capitalism. There has to be somebody on the bottom for somebody to be on the top. pause.

It is not the same as the stock market.

Stocks are literal pieces of companies that are expected to create actual value. You can speculate in stocks of course, but businesses have actual value underlined by their assets and incomes and this is reflected in long term stock prices, and dividends.

There is no value in Bitcoin beyond the speculative nature. You're hoping that the demand for Bitcoin in the future will enable you to cash out.

Is there anything wrong with this? Not at all. But let's be honest about what it is.

It is the same as the Speculation Market. Which is worse and far more dangerous.
Puts and calls and derivatives and futures on essentially debt instruments brought us the crash of 08 and the inevitable one of the future.
Now you can speculate on the price of crypto. Terrible.

Y'all nikkaz man lol.

Listen, if your first interaction, or understanding, of btc was for criminal purposes then w/e. That's your experience.

i on the other hand, an early investor, saw btc be used originally for research purposes in the hacker culture, a means of transactions in Gerrman stores, a way to protect against inflation in Cyprus, and other legitimate means.

Since fiat, even since bartering existed, it has been used for immoral things. Brining up that it went from drug addict money to fukk you money is a silly argument, and always has been. Y'all are beating a dead horse.

I agree with what you saying. But in the overall picture of stocks and crypto there is always the bag holder at the end. There can't be a winner without a loser in stocks and crypto. Pure capitalism itself is a ponzi scheme

People made money off beanie babies back in the day, now they’re worthless. :skip:
I hope the brehs who are making money in this get out safely because it’s clearly a ponzi.

Ask yourself how it keeps going up. Crypto is less popular in the general public than it was during the COVID bull run, yet somehow Bitcoin is over $100k.

take x dollars.

you can run two different sequences of trades using just X that will result in different end market prices.

HOLD sentiment (for example) will (in general) result in higher prices for the same input x.

How does it magically keep getting higher and higher?

because the price moves at the margin.

Just take 5 minutes and look into Tether and you’ll see that company is literally printing billions of virtual dollars out of thin air every week to pump the price of bitcoin.
