cant play football on friday nights breh. these guys never played football. THEY'RE not the ones causing a dent in youth football numbers

dudes really cant face that one way or another, this game is dying. everything has a tipping point, and that usually doesn't come with as strong of a case as CTE and ALS

no it's not, and the ceiling is made of titanium.

it's a niche sport and a fad in the grand scheme of things. just so happens americans are obsessed with it. that will fade and when it does, it will never recover

even without the ebb and flow of a sport's popularity, almost no other sport has to deal with its participants being cognitively and/or physically disabled or suicidal and/or homicidal cases

You're an idiot.

There is nothing niche about football. Nothing creates a spectacle like football games

Also, how does it fade without something taking it place?

"is it immoral to watch football and enjoy it??"

It is a fair point to ask. Every time you speak glowingly to your son/nephew/cousin about the game, watch a game, buy a ticket or some nfl merchandise, or view an NFL-related site(NFL, espn/nfl and so on..), you are making a contribution. :yeshrug:

It's a violent sport no doubt. With clueless fans who celebrate violent hits.

I like the sport but not the violent side of it. Same reason i never cared for boxing or MMA. Tackle someone. Fine. No need to hit them so hard to purposely cause injury.
This is a dumb thing to say. Football doesn't have a non-violent side. The violence is an intrinsic part of it. Unless you mean flag football. :yeshrug:

in the context of American sports, nothing is more popular than football....

a niche sport, is something like crossfit...... even fantasy football has grown into a sport all it's own.

With all the horror stories of football, there is an endless supply of people. willing to risk those hazards just for the chance to play football at the college level or NFL.

Alot of my friends from the University of Miami still play in the NFL.

But with that being said i don't watch football at all outside of when they play.

And i only go to games when they put me on will call for free tickets.

Everyone who plays sports is subject to health hazards.... it's not exclusive to football.

that " i won't let my kids play football" shyt isn't really new either, and by the time High School rolls around, most of their kids will probably be playing football.... the reactionary responses of parents is really overstated.
You don't really think that the number of parents who won't let their kids play football isn't significantly increasing, and will continue to increase since these CTE revelations do you?

Let's not pretend it's the same as it was 20 years ago.

So, what sport is going to overtake football once it "fades"? :ld:

What sports are even a threat to do so? :ld:
