SO basically if i'm understanding you correctly sometime withing the next 50 years man will cease to expand on technology because well, we simply will have it all figured out?

GTFOH.

Considering there's already research into bio computing and multiple state processing i suspect the hurdles your convinced will stifle mankind will be cleared.

I actually have an uncle who works R&D for Motorola and every time I talk to him about multiple state processing and other advancements into processing it's damn near scary where they think they can go with these things, PARTICULARLY with regards to the medium they use.

I didn't state that. In fact, you are affirming my position. The singularity through classical computing is suppose to bring an age of technological enlightenment in 2049. We now have quantum computing and thus this should happen MUCH faster. Let's see if it is true LOL

It's my hypothesis that human beings have a specific resonance when it comes to processing things much like sound and vision and all of this added power will be either malignant or useless

what's sad is you're living in your proof you're just to narrow minded to see it. If you're looking to wake up on Jan 1st 2049 and find the world changed overnight you're sorely mistaken. The changes are already taking place, some for good some for bad.

The decentralization of information, the breaking down of imaginary borders the sharing of ideas, thoughts, opinions, facts, fiction and experience. That happens every day around the world a billion times an hour.

The future is already here, it's just not evenly distributed.

I was once a futurist until I got wise.

I'd argue the world we live in today is proof that man will pay dearly for it's technocratic ways and obsession with big data. Turn numbers and machines into God and you will end up bare and broken.

In this day and age, Technocrats have become the new Wall St banker. Technology has become a means to enslave more than advancing anything.

not it's not.Wall St. is the same Wall St. Silicon Valley is Silicon valley, two very different places, not even just physically but in terms of goals

Wrong. Silicon Valley has more lobbyist than anybody to push Libertarian agendas. Now the new talk is of "Technocratic societies." If you want "Elysium", you will get your just desert.

So lobbying is what makes Wall Street, Wall Street? Is your fear of Technology based in a fear of a Technocratic society? If so....:smh:

I love technology but I don't love technocrats. Certain technology needs to be carefully implemented.

The purpose of technology has always been to enhance reality, not desensitize us from it.
