I’ll bite.

explain what was broken after the first patch. I say that because I didn’t play the game until after that dropped.

I had a flawless smooth experience playing the game. My biggest problem with the game was the hand size for the women and the Asari faces.
I never played after that patch the levels where you had to start up the terraforming device the game use to break and cause it to crach shyt it was crash after using the jetpack while roaming throughout the world.

would y’all suggest/recommend I play andromeda and then treat/play ME 1-3 as a “flashback”...would the overall story be compromised/spoiled if I play andromeda first?

damn I got too many games in rotation :francis:

Story wise, meh. It's its own offshoot, and doesn't necessarily continue on specific story threads as much as it just fleshes out another branch of it. If anything, the game makes a couple of assumptions about your knowledge of races and general background based on playing some of the previous games. So, not really a big deal on that front.

However, from a gameplay/combat standpoint........Andromeda perfected it. I'd say maybe wait to see if they say they give any more detail about combat being a little more uniform across the three games. Because they definitely took four games to get in the sweet spot. Non of the games felt bad when they came out, but each game was a clear improvement over the last. Going from Andromeda straight back to 1 could potentially be jarring.

Not willing to pay $60 for this as I already own these games. When this is $20-$30 in a bargain bin I'll take a look.

^This. No impetus to drop 60-70 (plus) bucks on a trilogy I already own.

Also, I haven't seen anything showing updated combat/mechanics for 1 and 2, so I'd be buying the same games with some updated graphics and censorship? :dahell:

Edit: And it's missing some DLC? :dead:

It's only missing Pinnacle station dlc from the first game because they lost the source code.

And? :childplease:
I already have the first game and Pinnacle. :mjlol:

That's great, dog but don't scream at me I wasn't trying to convince you to cop. I'm just saying Pinnacle station has always been locked in for the PC version because of that and it was mentioned when they ported the series to PS3.

This time around the Legendary Edition is gonna be a better deal for first-timers because last gen's ME collection fleeced buyers for full price and they still had to buy DLC.

Mechanically, there's nothing wrong with Andromeda anymore and I thought the bugs in the day 1 version were a bit exaggerated too.

The reason the game sucks is due to the story/narrative and the fact that even with the best gameplay in the series - everything you fight is just bland as fukk.

Nobody's screaming but that bullshyt BW be staying with is the same reason they're :mjlol: status now.

Lost the source code? :mindblown: The fukk is this, the Matrix? Like that shyt can't be re-written? They couldn't have remixed that one DLC? B-Dub got time to chop out *clothed* butt shots and dikkprints and give character models plastic surgery but missing DLC is where they draw the line? :skip:

I'm glad they are making Mass Effect 1 better. That game definitely showed it's age when I replayed it like 5 years ago.

Is the combat more fluid? Will we be stuck in elevators forever? Not even being sarcastic, just tryna see how it's different from the OG, outside of updated graphics. :lupe:

It happens. Square had to recreate or reverse engineer the first Kingdom Hearts game for their remaster collection because they lost the source code.

I guess Bioware didn't think it was worth the dev time to figure it out.

...But with the shorter loading, does that mean the banter has been cut? Nope! The small talk and news audio clips are sped up, triggering those instances faster to include them in the shorter load times. So all the elevator goodness without all of that elevator wait. "At a certain point the level loads in and you can choose whether or not you want to skip the rest of the banter, the news feed, or the awkward silence," Meek tells us when showing us the comparison video between the two load times. "The load times are obviously hard drive dependent but with this part, I went in and was out in 14 seconds and I'm halfway across the bridge by the time it took Shepard to get out of the elevator in the original trilogy."

They took care of that breh :blessed:

I remember this also the first game i noticed texture pop in on back in the day. Hopefully that's also addressed. This shyt had PS4 cyberpunk pop in before cyberpunk.
