the only sequel andromeda was ever getting was f2p multiplayer :mjlol: and ME3 was fukked up back in ME2
i was about to say, last fifteen minutes of ME2 just a movie tying up the Cerebrus storyline, which apparently they should have never done, they ran into a George R R Martin problem

If Andromeda had been a hit then there definitely would've been a legit sequel. EA is the reason why ME3 was fukked up, making Javik DLC made his purpose in the game pretty much pointless. Just hearing his dialogue you can tell that he was going to be the one to kill the reapers.

Who even knows what to expect from a mass effect at the end of this decade, everyone involved with the series is gone

The legendary edition makes it easy to forget that ME3 came out 12yrs ago, and everyone including the voice actors are doing other projects.
Most of them probably either at Casey Hudson's new studio,or working on that Exodus game a.k.a "we have Mass Effect at home" :lolbron:

At least the latter game will actually release this generation

It does look very ‘go-bots’ish’ though:francis:

I still hope 2027/early 2028 is realistic :lawd:
Insane that it’s been that long. I’ll never forgive BioWare for giving mass effect to their B team so they could work on Anthem or whatever it was that ended up flopping. EA should’ve made them prioritize mass effect since it was their biggest money maker anyway…at least I think. Had to have sold more than Dragon Age, right?

If you would’ve told me after mass effect 3 dropped that we’d get one mass effect game in this next twenty years and it was gonna suck I would’ve been:camby:

Andromeda doesn't suck though, it just had to follow the amazing trilogy which was unfair. Outside of being able to manually select your squadmates powers in the trilogy, Andromeda's gameplay is the best in the franchise.

I do love the combat but the empty ass planets when the respawning enemy encounters was whack to me. I played the LE again this year and still loved it and then tried Andromeda again and I think made it like five hours before tapping out.

Combat was literally the only good part about the game though and not for people that originally liked the rpg aspects of ME

The companions were so so bad. I can barely remember any of them, and the main chick they set up as the number one pick love interest looked like a karen with a typical talk to the manager haircut

Compare it to ME1, the squadmates outside of Ashley, Kaiden, and Liara weren't fleshed out until ME2. Everyone else is pretty vanilla but the story was so good it makes you overlook that and the now dated combat. ME1 & Andromeda have a lot of similarities, but the story gives ME1 the decisive victory.

I'm so done with N7 Day, I don't even have the (irrational) emotion in me to shyt on Andromeda.

But, I'll say, Andromeda did a lot more wrong than a dense, convoluted story with bland, shallow characters.

People love the combat, but, forget how static most of the encounters are throughout that game.

You spend most of the game doing this;

And this person is praising this combat encounter like it's dope :patrice:

Or you're in these vaults fighting these hoards the same way

I fukking hated the vaults after like two of them

You act like the trilogy didn't have the same static combat. It's literally take cover, shoot, and hope your squad doesn't stupidly run into a bullet shower. The reason why the combat was good in Andromeda is because you had room to fight. If the trilogy didn't have such an amazing story and characters then the gameplay would be criticized way more. The vaults were basically a more extensive version of the outposts in ME1, which is why I said both ME1 & MEA are similar in a lot of ways.
