Is this series still worth playing in 2023 or does it feel dated?

Hell yes. The Remaster breathed new life into the trilogy. I had more fun playing the remaster than I did the original releases. The combat in ME3 plays better than some modern day shooters. The only one that truly felt dated from a gameplay perspective was part one, but the writing, dialouge, and characters are so masterfully crafted that it didn't bother me.

The Abyss
the disabled collector ship smh. Those fukking platforms and harbinger jumping into everyone smh
On my insanity run rn and died 6 times on the platform part. Had Grunt and a loyal Miranda with me but they were getting slumped by the scion, Harbinger combo. Plus the collectors just laying down overwhelming fire on our position. Couldn't even pop up to shoot without getting my shields ate through and I'm a level 30 soldier.

Had to reload my save and pick a new squad. Ran with Kasumi and Grunt 2nd time around. Learned online that Kasumi's flashbang grenade renders guns and biotics useless for a time and it has a quick cooldown. Swept through Harbinger with her because he couldn't use his biotics. Used that time to wittle down the scion while the squad handled the collectors. Took out Harbinger and now we off the platform part.

I never used Kasumi in past playthroughs but she just entered the Garrus, Grunt, Miranda tier for me. That flashbang is severely overpowered but on insanity idgaf. We aint died yet. :ohlawd:
