I didn't know Mandarin had a big enough following for people to get mad like that :ld:
He doesn't. Everyone defending the movie from "obsessed comic book nerds" are just lying to themselves. I never read an Iron Man comic in my life and I thought the Mandarin twist was garbage.

I didn't want "the" Mandarin. I wanted "a" Mandarin. I just wanted an interesting nemesis for Iron Man. All his villains throughout the movies have been garbage. From the business man in the 1st movie, to the guy with the electric whips, to the business man who can breath fire in the 3rd movie. (And I liked the 1st movie.)

I was hoping for a cool interpretation of Mandarin. I thought we had one, at first. Legendary actor, ominous trailers, etc. They made the Joker wear makeup and he still got legendary movie status and an Oscar. All we got was a "funny" twist - they might as well have put a laugh track behind Iron Man 3.

But, overall, I enjoyed the experience. And all the people defending Iron Man 3 like Shane Black is their mother are pretending the people who criticize it are shedding tears while cuddling their Mandarin comic books or something. Those people are few and far between.

It was the best and most memorable part of the movie Imo, shyt was classic, especially because I was clueless. I thought nikka was gonna be ham, not spam.

Yeah, I thought there was gonna be a double twist; on some Saddam Hussein body double shyt.

They seem to fukk up part 3 on every damn trilogy. Not that the movie was bad, and when I was into comics, iron man wasnt one of them; it's just that was just a lame ass twist for his best villain. As was mentioned, its akin to down playing joker on batman for Harley Quinn or magneto for Fabian Cortez.

Watch we get modok instead of thanos in avengers 2, lol.

It's not a big deal. Nobody except extreme nerds gives a fukk about the Mandarin. I laughed when I saw the twist. Comparing him to the Joker is a super cyse, Iron Man's rogues gallery is a joke anyway.

If Iron Man was so powerful wouldn't it make sense for him to build like 100,000 suits and suit the American Army up to take on the aliens.

Not only that...

...but now that he can make the suits and have Jarvis control them he can effectively create an endless army. They gonna have to explain a way out of this in Avengers 2.

Build 100K suits in a day? Why would it need to be explained after what happens at the end of IM3?

Did you guys even watch the movies?

The twist was... okay I guess. I can see why comic heads would be upset though.

My problem is not with the twist. The movie in general was just bad.

--Can somebody explain to me what did inject into his body that allows him to mentally control the suits? Even summoning them from over 800 miles away? Or does he have a communications implant?

--When did Tony get the tactical training that he demonstrated when he "infiltrated" the Miami estate taking out armed henchmen?

--Why does he go through all of the movie trying to repair the one messed up suit, when he has an extra dozen on stand by?

--I heard that they used Sun/Oracle computers in the film. Can somebody confirm?

--Maybe I'm not paying attention (probably), but I thought the arc reactor in his chest was the only thing keeping him alive? I though the shrapnel could not be removed?

--Is Tony a mechanical engineer and a biology chemist? Curing extremis on the fly? Again, I don't know much about the comic version so maybe this is the case.

What was Killian's ultimate goal again?

He injected sensors with a needle gun when you first see him in his shop working on the new armor. they show up like little dots on his forearm.

--When did Tony get the tactical training that he demonstrated when he "infiltrated" the Miami estate taking out armed henchmen?

its a stretch but id assume just by being iron man the past 4 years he has been in a lot of combat situations and picked up how to sneak around a little even though he normally has a lot of firepower.

--Why does he go through all of the movie trying to repair the one messed up suit, when he has an extra dozen on stand by?

they are buried in the rubble of his house until the repair crew finally cleans out a big portion that allows them to escape

--I heard that they used Sun/Oracle computers in the film. Can somebody confirm?

pretty sure i saw them once or twice

--Maybe I'm not paying attention (probably), but I thought the arc reactor in his chest was the only thing keeping him alive? I though the shrapnel could not be removed?

they glossed over it too much i think but since he "cured himself" with that new reactor in iron man 2, the shrapnel was no longer moving and he felt the arc reactor was a part of him. now that he feels like he is iron man even without the suit he gets it all removed.

--Is Tony a mechanical engineer and a biology chemist? Curing extremis on the fly? Again, I don't know much about the comic version so maybe this is the case.

he is pretty much a genius at anything, but its somewhat explained that he starts looking at the human body as a machine, and since he is a mechanic he can go about "fixing" it.

What was Killian's ultimate goal again?

to get paid from the us military for supplying them with extremis super soldiers to combat the "terrorists" that he also controlled.

Good looking out on the breakdown. I should have made it more clear that my Oracle question was just me making fun of the in your face product placement.
