This was the best episode in the series and the best hour of star wars in decades. If Favreau doesn't get control over the next star wars movies, everybody at Disney needs to be fired. He should be what Kevin Fiege is to the MCU.
So you wanna give the keys to Favreau based on this episode when he didn’t write it or direct it?

The overlooking of Filoni is :hhh:

Underrated takeaway from the episode is Jango Fett didn't have Beskar armor

Most of them don't. Beskar is very rare, and Jango wasn't into any of the Mandalorian shyt by the time we meet him in Episode II. The government of Mandalore also disavowed him in the Clone Wars cartoon.

This x100. Favreau deserves credit for advancing Lucas' technological innovations and probably having enough weight on him to not get bossed around by Kathleen. The story/lore is all Filoni. This is obvious in the GALLERY documentary on D+. Whenever he starts talking about the lore of the Lucas films everyone else, including Favreau, shut up and go :ohhh:

George Lucas is the Star Wars God, Filoni is the chosen one bring balance back to the franchise.

If you watch this on D+ you can see Favreau :ohhh: and the others, including Kathleen Kennedy just :mindblown: . This video even explains exactly why Ahsoka refused to train Grogu in the last episode. She didn't have that Qui-Gon in her just like Obi-Wan didn't in the prequels. And it basically explains what Filoni/Favraeu are trying to recreate with this show.

Wow this was the most star wars episode ever. The possibilities this season is opening up is so vast that we could have 6 seasons before even reaching the shyt show force awakens movie. Show a pre pussified luke in this series while mark is still alive and have grogu somewhere getting his master yoda on.

they said he cut himself off from the force so that explains why nobody sense him and means he is more advance than just some baby he just dont speak english.

this fukked me up when she said that shyt.
Baby Yoda is more powerful than people know.

Holy shyt brehs :wow: :ohlawd:

Rosario WAS Ahsoka, that ep was incredible to watch.

Baby Yoda for life, fukk that Goku wannabe ass name :mjpls:

Thrawn :krs: yeah, that was Filoni throwing the seeds for an Ahsoka series no question about it.

So I guess whoever senses Baby Yoda gonna come to Mando's rescue once Gideon unleashes his forces at him at Tython? :lupe:

:gucci: How many times does Filoni gotta pull off amazing shyt before people realize he's the one that should be in charge of shyt

 Dave Filoni the real chosen one

It's not just about this episode. It's the show in its entirety. It's Favreau's project and oversight

Give that man the keys

But I agree that Filoni should definitely be there too. I can see them working out in a Feige/Russo brothers way

Great episode..

I like the set look. Reminds me of a dystopian Shaw Bros film

I did laugh at the way Rosario was swinging the lightsabers. Just not used to it

The child has a name! And SOMEONE finally mentions he looks like Yoda!!

Damn, Kyle Reese. That was the oldest trick in the book

My only fear....Filoni falling in love with himself & turning this into a live action version of 'Rebels'

Tidbit...

Diana Lee Inosanto godfather was Bruce Lee. This episode premiered on Bruce's bday

I was responding to the specific post. The reality is that they are working together in a Feige/Russo type way. They both recognize what they bring to the table. @Soymuscle Mike mentioned the Gallery series and it’s pretty evident based on that.

All of that said..................When you talk about giving someone the keys to the franchise to me you are talking about leading the SW universe forward while keeping the soul Lucas created, properly connecting timelines and expanding the universe. That’s Filoni. The biggest complaint about the new trilogy wasn’t the look/cinematography. The stories were ass and unconnected to each other and the past. I’m not shytting on Favreau but even in this series he’s using multiple directors. He’s done a great job but Flioni is more essential in moving the universe forward than him.
