That doesn't actually bother me, its the "Light" side winning over the "Dark" side by turning them.

What bothers me is the whole idea that "The Force Awakens".
So, what, the FORCE was just asleep for 30 years, and "wakes" up in the form of a so-called "Mary Sue" type character?

I'm realizing that the when JJ or whoever came up with that , the "Force" represented the positive nostalgic memories of the casual fan. They're basically telling us "remember Star Wars from your childhood", Mr. Casual Fan? That you forgot all about after the prequels that you heard that nerds hated? We'll we're bringing back those warm an fuzzy feelings now!


Thing is, someone like Dave Filoni never FORGOT to begin with. So The Mandalorian was written by and for people that didn't need the force to "Awake" because it was still alive the whole time. That's how you build NEW fans.

Not a star wars guy at all. Haven't seen any of the movies. This show is gonna make me watch them all.

Seriously though, other than the very first one the rest of the "likes" aren't THAT bad.
I wouldn't fire her, just relegate her to a cameo maybe once per season.

You should read 'Darth Plagueis' by James Luceno, where a bunch of Mandalorians are contracted to assassinate Darth Plagueis, and almost succeed, before getting murked by Sidious. GOAT Star Wars book. Might post the entire excerpt here if I can find it.

It's the best "live action" thing done.

Because Clone Wars and Rebels are 3D animated they won't get the acclaim of this but they were easily just as good as this. Especially Clone Wars.

Mandalorian is good, but it's not the best thing since the original trilogy. Clone Wars laps what the Mandalorian has done. Without fan service, this show would be dead in the water.

I watched Rogue One on cable over the weekend. It's better than I remembered it.

Yeah that movie's good too. The only thing that dragged that movie down was the ending because you basically knew that

so the end was kind of predictable. The way it happens is fun to watch tho.
