She produced Rogue One as well which was entrenched in the OT. So again, I don't think the new trilogy is all that great. But I think the hate she specifically gets is a bit much.
Don't forget Rogue One had a lot of problems and had to be reshot and redone a lot. The only Star Wars film that didn't have big issues during it's production was The Last Jedi, which was the film that threw most of what was re-done in TFA to the bushes..the MAIN issue people have with KK is that basically she never planned shyt for the future (and I'm someone who likes TLJ more than TFA). She just wanted to have a big blockbuster SW film every year, stories mattered very little to her so whatever she thought would make money, she ok'd, and whenever she saw issues, she meddled in and changed course, even in the middle of production.
Solo was a fukking disaster and basically showed she just got lucky with Rogue One (similar issues, similar "let's try to save the film in post production and with reshoots "solution"). And the sequel trilogy were 3 movies that had little to no connection between them and had ZERO gameplan.
Disney could be somewhat happy with her because she still made them a shyt ton of money with most of her SW movies. But she's the main reason why the franchise was basically broken once Rise of Skywalker ended. She was supposed to make shyt flow and build like Feige, not throw shyt at the wall for 6 years and leave the franchise without any direction whatsoever.
The hate from the fandom is warranted imo, she shyt the bed with a franchise that was teflon and needed other people to save it. The fact it took just a dozen TV episodes to restore the feeling just shows you that doing great things with Star Wars ain't rocket science.
