If the movie does well and RZA delivers a masterpiece... Marvel should hire him to direct the "Iron Fist" movie... :lawd:

That shyt looks straight :noah::noah::noah::noah: status. It reminds me of RZA's Tragedy video from '97.

This has made me wanna whip out one of my kung fu DVDs cos I haven't watched one of those flicks for a few years even though I damn near have them all.

The first cut of the film was 4 hours long and RZA suggested splitting it into two films, but Roth disagreed and it was ultimately cut down to approximately 90 minutes. fukk eli roth

“The original cut was four hours long, and RZA was like, “Let’s turn it into two movies!” and Eli is like, “No….” They are really excited, and I have complete faith in RZA. He’s a genius when it comes to these things and he knows the genre so well. So it has been cut down to an hour and a half. It’s picture-locked, and now he’s working on the music. I’m pretty excited. Everyone’s pretty stoked. It will have that “cult” feel. I don’t think everyone loved 36 Chambers of Shaolin or Five Deadly Venoms. It’s definitely a delicacy, but it’s still fun and awesome. Russell Crowe is doing some crazy things that you would never think he would do on film. I don’t know the final stylized look he went for. You can only imagine what Quentin Tarantino, Eli Roth, and RZA could pull together. It’s going to be fun. I think it might come out in August.” - Jamie Chung

rza removed himself from them. This film is his dream, he couldn't afford to ruin this opportunity..read his book, tao of the wu. You get what im sayin.
he should have had enough sense to remove himself from the movie his presence as the lead might kill the movie in its tracks.Should've hired MJW or derek luke or something

RZA has been practising Gung Fu for 17 plus years (properly).Plus he isn't new to acting..Oh and Kung Fu/martial arts on screen is different to the real thing..so lets give it a chance.

:why: at people talking about "Rza shouldn't be the lead", as if all them old ass kung-fu flicks had Academy Award winning actors. As long as the fight scenes are good that's 90% of the problems taken care of.

LOL at this doofus, roth/qt's name being attached this as "presenters" can only take it so far. The white populace who are the main contributors to ticket sales are the ones that need to be coerced they aint going to be flock to see a brotha, whitey and a bunch of flying asians.Or a gumby looking unknown motherfuker (trying to be a a shaolin) as lead.MJW at least has the skill and looks badazz, derek luke can act and has screen presence rza has non of those things, which is why his selfishness to put himself in the lead might blow up in his face.

Roth was present during the shoot and handled plenty of the Directing/along with RZA..
QT oversaw things and gave his help when RZA was taking charge..
This is just the beginning of the RZA behind the cams..
