Have a question about this upwork site. How does it work? I see some way jobs I can try and do but when I click submit proposal it just refreshes the page. Should I be using the app or a desktop? Could my profile not be complete? It's saying something about connects but I have none. How can I get some?

Online buying and reselling. Or rather, I bought some stuff from China via dhgate and looking to resell.
this working for you still? I thought amazon had a thing about chinese products or dropshipping them for that matter.
Im not an expert, but i think the only time that you need to that information is if you are adding your own private label product or entering a product thats not in Amazon's database yet. Also, the only time you have to purchase a upc is if you are doing private label

I could be wrong though. I have not done private label or created a new ad on Amazon. I only sell products that are already in Amazon's database and i don't enter the upc. I only enter my price, quantity, condition of my item and if i want to merchant fulfill or do fba
not to step on your toes but where do you source your inventory?

ohh ok you're just doing retail arbitiage. I started out doing that and it's good for making a few extra bucks however if you're on your shyt with that the well tends to dry up very quickly. And worse the FBA fees keep increasing and making more products unprofitable. I'm trying to find some good sources of steady inventory without private labeling.

Got some liquidators and got cool with a local wholesaler but they only have but so many of the viable products.

I've been looking to resell from China, as I've been selling from thrift stores, craigslist, etc for years, but with the costs of these market places now days (9%-12% + Paypal/Credit Card 3% + shipping) how are you even able to still make money unless you're selling locally or moving crazy units? I have a few websites too, which help to cut back on the costs rather than selling on someone else's store front, but unless you're selling appliances or cars or something high priced it seems way too hard to make money anymore from buying online (mainly from China) and selling on marketplaces

Yeah im only doing retail arbitrage. Fba are increasing but i only deal with products at a certain price and I had so many sources for merchandise that it never dried up.

I was making some great money, but I ran into some issues. So im going to get away from Amazon and ebay and start my own thing.

I wasnt moving much until the past couple of months. I had some connections at a few stores that allowed me to get a lot of merchandise at a discount and i was able to resell it anywhere from $11 to $350.

I was able to large quantities from a few other places for dirt cheap. There are so many sources and great deals out there. But the fees are getting ridiculous and the bs from Amazon/ebay and the scammers, im just ready to get off and do my own thing

It's good to hear you were able to get some decent merchandise from a few places. Amazon FBA used to be the way to go too but even their fees are ridiculous now, and like you said the scammers. I wish you luck in everything, breh

What about the scammers?
There's a lot of scammers on Amazon. Amazon's return policy favors buyers. So you have people who buy items, use the item for a little while and then open a claim with Amazon that the item was damaged/defective.

I sold a hundred dollar item in June and had the person open a claim two months later saying that it didn't work. I have no choice but to accept the return and when i get it back, it was missing pieces. They still got the full refund.

I have seen people request refunds 5 and 6 months later and be allowed to do it. Sometimes they don't send the item back or switch the item out with something else and they still get all of their money back.

Then you have the sellers that are scamming and the sellers that falsely accuse other sellers of fraud and selling knock-offs causing other sellers to be banned from selling that item or getting their account suspended. You have to be careful because Amazon usually acts without investigating
