I learned my SEO knowledge from trial and error....

But yes if you start your own blog/site/youtube/whatever, its best to use 100% original content, because google wont send you any traffic if you steal content. matter of fact you could get your website blacklisted.

I dont have a degree and ive only been doing this internet thing for the past 8 months, but ive made enough to take the rest of the year off if i wanted too. matter of fact, im going to the Bahamas on the 23rd for a week.

Start reading and applying, reading and applying. With anything on the internet its a slow process, but once that money comes in, it comes in fast.

Having said that, im down to start a group project where we all make money doing shyt. I dont even need or want a huge percent, this could be hands on paid training for some of you new cats, and as time goes, it'll become passive income for us all.

Ok i already have a blog running ads and making good passive income for me, so i think we should do a blog. Perhaps a tech blog, or maybe hip-hop related. or both. then we can have someone making original videos on youtube and putting the blog name in the the videos so we get residual traffic from that, as well as making money from youtube once we get the views up.

We can also charge independent artists a small fee to feature them on the hip-hop/tech blog, but thats once we are doing at least 5k uniques a day.

to start: we need to decide what type of blog to set up, if any, and how everything will be run. i suggest wordpress.org, because thats what my site uses, and its child play. we also need a domain name and a breakdown of who will do what. and an operating agreement signed by everybody who wants to be involved before any work is done.

Im super busy. Though I would be in. I will work on the SEO. I will do back linking and on page tweaks.

For content management I agree wordpress is the best CRM. Plus all the addons make it very manageable.

when they upgrade to version 4+ here members should be able to create their own blogs on here. check with the admin to make sure they buy that feature from VBB

ok so we have an experienced seo guy. Who wants to step up and build a wordpress blog. i could do it but i want someone who has never done it before to learn. also need someone interested in making youtube videos, and people who dont mind writing

we need someone to handle all the social media accounts such as twitter and facebook.

I want everything about this blog to be open and shared, and just because you wont be the designated seo guy, doesnt mean you wont learn a shyt ton about it

We should also have a web 2.0 manager as well. We can use 10-20 properties as a funnel and to act as a buffer for our tier 1 links.

But most importantly, we need a good catchy domain name, and we need to decide what the blog will be about.

maybe we can have a blog that covers:

movie reviews
music (hip-hop, pop, r&b)
tech
mixtape releases

hip-hop news...no gossip bullshyt, just info about upcoming albums, collabs, concerts, etc
things to do in your city for evergreen content (evergreen is content that will never get old. Such as things to do in NYC or best places to visit in texas.)
Car reviews/news, because who doesnt like cars

Feel free to add on or throw some ideas out there. there is no such thing as a bad idea at this stage

I have no problem doing original writing, just give me a subject, keywords to use and ill write, also i can manage a face book or twitter account, not a bunch of them but one or two wouldn't be any issue

Stick with content creation and master it.
If site becomes sucessful you can use it for resume and eat like a boss.

I wouldn't worry to much about keywords. 60-70% of keywords typed into google our long tail keywords that google has never seen before.

What I would do is stick to trending topics. Trending topics add relevancy value to your website.

newark can you pm pewpew and I a 500 word article about the viking stadium as its trending right now on google.

Any time I promote something I follow a rule. Does 1 in 100 people use this item or relevant to people.

For instance right now the big things online our. (make money, skin care, losing weight, e-ciggies)

I've been thinking about ways to get additional income along with my full-time job, and this is something that could coincide perfectly with what I'm already doing. I work from home in front of my computer all day... and let's just say, I have more then enough extra time to dabble with some other stuff if I desire to do so.
