Might as well since TVs make dialog sound like this BUT HERE'S THE EXPLOSION AND MUSIC COMING :krs:

They actually have that option. It’s called description or some shyt. I had it turned on accidentally once and almost went crazy. nikkas was describing every single detail

For me it's either on anime that isn't dubbed obviously, or when there's too much noise to be expected during the time im watching whatever. I I've been making sure lately to turn them off if not needed kuz i almost always end up just reading the subtitles instead of watching what's going on

I prefer watching everything in subtitles 🤷🏾‍♀️ it kinda helps me stay tuned in plus sometimes I may misunderstand what was said due to an actors/actresses accent or voice not being clear enough but with subtitles it's easier for me to understand what's being said without having to rewind.

That’s because you can’t hear the dialog. Modern tvs have the sound coming from the back and depends on bouncing the sound back of the wall to your ears. That doesn’t carry voices well.

Peacock is obnoxious with that option because it pops up on random ass shows.

I remember watching Quantum Leap and thought the narration was a part of the damn show. Until it got to the opening title:

"A huge tv show title pops up....directed by blah blah blah"

Like WTF:dahell:

Always have subtitles on but ever since I used Audio Descriptions for Netflix’s ‘Narcos’, I go out of my way to turn them on for any show/movie that have them.

During the pandemic, I had to when i was living with my two kids in a one bedroom apt. Could only watch my shows and sports shyt after they fell asleep. So it became a staple.

Now that i bought my house, and they got they own rooms, i still use it. Just a habit.

It's because they spend the movie in their phone and you catch key parts of the conversation with ST on.

Help me understand what this means? You would think if you are on your phone you wouldn't be looking up reading the subtitles....

Or can it possibly be that the young generation is so used to being on their phone and always texting that that read better than they listen? And they have superpowers that allow them to simultaneously absorb the text of the subtitles as well as whatever it is they are looking at on their phone
