get that IT certificate, brehs.

:snoop:

The economy isn't getting better and the unemployment numbers we keep seeing are far from accurate. According to CNN Money, 76 percent of Americans are living paycheck-to-paycheck.

Roughly three-quarters of Americans are living paycheck-to-paycheck, with little to no emergency savings, according to a survey released by Bankrate.com Monday.

Fewer than one in four Americans have enough money in their savings account to cover at least six months of expenses, enough to help cushion the blow of a job loss, medical emergency or some other unexpected event, according to the survey of 1,000 adults. Meanwhile, 50% of those surveyed have less than a three-month cushion and 27% had no savings at all.

"It's disappointing," said Greg McBride, Bankrate.com's senior financial analyst. "Nothing helps you sleep better at night than knowing you have money tucked away for unplanned expenses."

Even more disappointing; The savings rates have barely changed over the past three years, even though a larger percentage of consumers report an increase in job security, a higher net worth and an overall better financial situation.

and nikkas wonder why some people are out here pushing weight. 9-5 just isn't working for most people out here. :to: at that number. almost 80% of our population would be homeless if they lose their job.

:patrice:How can weight get pushed when the hood is broke:wtf::snoop::confused:

cuz addicts will find some way some how to meet that addiction. welfare. food stamps. something will let them buy what you're peddling. i'm not necessarily condoning drug dealing. but with stats like this, and the fact that there are NO jobs out here, i understand.

It doesn't even matter how much money you have, trust, there's dudes out there making $100-200K and still living paycheck to paycheck, not to mention probably 80% of whole professional sports world.

yup. people are living beyond their means. we no longer exist in a society of humility. everyone wants what they know they can't afford, because they can't bear to walk this world in common threads. i'm just as guilty of it. it really is a diseased mindset that most of our country - or world, perhaps - is afflicted with.

i don't want to drive a ford; i want a bmw. i don't wear old navy; i wear far more expensive clothing. i don't want a timex; i want an audomar. that's life in 2013, where we crave admission into the spectacle viewed on our televisions and on social media.

everybody is pretending not to be a poor nowadays, even though they're broke.

The real problem is that people live beyond their means and are not taught financial literacy.

Most of these people, no matter how much money they make would face the same problems because they don't understand how money works.

Once you learn how money works, it becomes easy to break the mold and stop living from paycheck to paycheck.
