I think there's other people that have done it too though. Like Kevin Owens first match with Sami Zayn, I don't think it would've told the story better if it was just any angle. The match really set up his character.

That feud with the Uber driver and fast-food worker only worked with the smark NXT crowd, it carried no weight in the WWE

I don't like the NXT crowd either, but it was a good feud while it was there in NXT. Either way it didn't have to carry weight in WWE, because the feud wasn't on the main roster. That doesn't make it any less of an example of story telling, drama, and character work in actual matches.

The reason the steam of the feud did not carry over to the main roster, was because they were not over with the casual audience, people like me, which is a problem with indie wrasslers

Has nothing to do with what I said, you seem to have something against indy wrestlers I guess, but it does not relate to what I'm saying.

Because they haven't been fooled by revisionist history and actually remember things from 97-2002.

So you remember Austin, Rock and Foley all having their best matches of that era with Kang

I'm talking specifically the first match and what it meant for the first NXT feud, he is saying the feud didn't work on the main roster, but that doesn't really have to do with the original feud.

The original feud wasn't good enough to work on the main roster

It was not the same feud. And that says nothing to negate the story telling in that one match. You're seeing it as one continuous feud, I'm looking at them separately.

How was the NXT feud different? They repeated the same promos from NXT on RAW
Because they're two separate feuds aimed at two separate audiences. Some goofy shyt from chikara that would work there probably won't work in say NJPW, but I'm not going to judge both feuds as the same.

You really think Owens and Zayn are equally over with the casuals (me) as they are with the smark indie crowd?
