Not at all, they are pricing it to right at the point where you can't save to own a home anymore, they know what they are doing. If you make $10/hr that's $400/wk, so you need 2 weeks of work just to pay the rent. Essentially pushing you into permanent serfdom :wow:

Destroying any kind of wealth building. All this.massive down payments for a condo or a house is just absurd. Who has 200k saved up and been living on their own since 18, paying bills? Virtually no one. :wow:

Like you said, permanent serfdom with high rent prices. Luckily, I saved well over 100k before I moved out my parents crib and had other income streams coming in, cause a damn job or a career ain't gonna save anyone.

People who moved out from when they 18, paying bills for over a decade, and don't have a single dime saved up. That's why I don't judge people who still live at home, cause cost of living is savage and almost no hope of social mobility.

You must have never been a land lord

you have to charge a certain amount or you will lose your property because most of the time you are servicing the debt on it

If you can pay 800 month you can already afford to buy a home

FHA only requires 3 percent down, so for a 100k house that would be 3,000 down, and you only need a 640 credit score to be approved

people live in apartments because they are ignorant or don't want the responsibility of taking care of a house

Please stop it, the apartment buildings on the South Side were going for as low as $1 a few years ago nobody wanted them, hell there are still quite a few available. They are being turned around and rented out for $700 for a 1 bedroom and $1000 for a 2 bedroom. And when your rent is 50% (sometimes more) of your income you can't save up $3K, which was the point of my previous post breh. Ignore the fact that most people in America right now are living month to month brehs :smh:

The southside of what? If you can't save 3k over a few years, you're not trying to save

instead of arguing with me why don't you ask me how

this is what I mean by ignorant

You don't even need credit to by a house

you can do a land contract or Rent to Own

you can go on craiglist in any city and talk to home owners who will work something out with if you don't have a down payment to get a lease with the option to buy

just because you don't know how doesn''t mean it's not possible

South side of Chicago, and I do own real estate, and I've also been presenting facts. Let's say I make $10/hour, that's $400/wk, and let's say I live in the Southside

$700/mo for rent
$100/mo electricity
$200/mo food (very generous)
$50/mo cell phone bill
$50/wk gas
$100/mo health insurance
$150/mo cable & internet

^^^^This is $1,350, I'm left with $150 (please also note this is BEFORE taxes). So with $150 a month left over I am supposed to have a savings account? :why:

In regards to your suggestions:

1) Land Contract: In Chicago? in a non warzone neighborhood? :laff: :dead:

2) Lease w/ option to buy? in a non warzone neighborhood? :laff: :dead: You do realize on average you need at least first and last months just to move in to a property? It's so bad now with the poverty landlords don't charge that anymore they charge a "move in fee" of $250-350. And you expect these same people to come up with 10% deposit? :stopitslime:

Theoretically you are right, the issue is that this is THEORETICALLY. Before it used to be if you were making $60K/yr you were doing good. Right now breh if you are making $35K/yr you are doing better than most real talk :francis:

1. you can't land contracts anywhere, who do you choose to only talk about war zone
I just foun da house in bellwood IL for 75,000 with arv of 140,000

like I said ignorance

2. you need first and last to move in an apartment so what is the difference? Also you can do Rent to Own, or Land contract? Also it's up to the seller if you have to put something down, a lot of times they just want somebody to take over the payments

or you can do a sub lease

Secondly maybe shouldn't get the internet if that's all you are making

also you should have a roommate lmao

i mean damn, if yall nikka had a woman that's two incomes, holding down a spot is not hard at all

Secondly if you are doing that bad

you can live in a motel 6 for 250 a week in a lot of places and you can do that until you save enough money

I seen muthafukkas live off zero in Detroit

Chicago must not be as bad you think it is, just a bunch of retarded crack babies running

The school system is too blame. Schools don't encourage invention & entrepreneurs. It's all get a degree & work for a company but that's if you get something out of education. Most students leave school to do what? Work for minimum wage.

no, ppl are to blame. they expect that a degree in something easy will = a great paying job just because it says "degree"

ppl need to do their research and look realistically at potential jobs and then go for the schooling that it requires.

the majority ppl working min. wage with a degree are idiots that didn't plan their education properly.

I don't care if you enjoy or want to take courses in gender or cultural studies and shyt, but to think that you can get far with a major in that is just absurd.

This nikka is saying Bellwood IL and North Chicago :laff: That's like telling someone complaining about prices in NYC there's cheap real estate in Paterson :dead: :laff: at living in a motel 6 for $1000/mo when you are making $1600 before taxes. Nikka just stop it. I do respect that fact you are starting to get realistic by saying stuff like have roommates or a girlfriend who will split the bills. And getting an education is not an answer when there are a LOT of underemployed people, hella college grads working at Starbucks and Nordstrom's breh :wow:

Ahh yes, maybe we should just all give up......

In black communities, basic needs are hard to find. Where are the black cleaners, florist, butchers, etc? Good careers are available but no one seems to want them except foreigners.
