HDMI upscalers are so trash....all the ones you see on amazon and ebay are all cheap chinese products that muddys the image and does a piss poor job keeping proper ratio especially for older retro consoles that usually need proper 4:3 support and not that stretched out fake 16:9 you get from these cables most of the time. And you can forget about composite to hdmi unless you use quality like the framemeister or the new OSCC box....
But dropping 200+ dollars just for "noticeable" image clarity probably not the wave.
