@Kant I wrote about this on my blog before but you can be in a relationship with someone who is jealous of you. That whole equally yoked thing is real. They will literally want to sabotage you, emotionally/psychologically manipulate and abuse you because they see where you are heading or if you are already established. They will belittle you to make you think you can't do better than them. It's very common.

Dated a woman who tried to get me to stop working out...always cooked unhealthy shyt and complained about me training all the time. Then blamed me for even the slightest inclination of a woman hitting on me. Nope.

My mom's own sister would try to sabotage my mom's weight. My mom got more attention than her from childhood into early adulthood and my aunt would always bring my mom hella cakes, brownies, cookies, all types of food (while my aunt wouldn't eat it and would be invested in her shape- she was wearing waist trainers before it became a thing, into makeup before it became what it is now, just very into herself). My mom was never into her looks. She was never focused on her body. But everywhere she would go men would be drawn to my mom. My aunt confessed to my grand mother in her death bed that she always felt like my grand mother liked my mom more. My aunt is the 1st born (and 1st girl) and my grand mother trusted my mom more and made her the beneficiary.

It's not delusional if it's my personal experience. I just don't often encounter men, black men especially who desire a relationship. I don't think ALL black men are that way and I do feel it's wrong for me to think MOST are that way, which is why I'm going to value this association whatever may come of it.
