How are things going on your end?

We’re getting ready to raise prices on damn near all of our seafood products again. Third time this year. We’re having to restrict orders further so we’re not getting wiped out on inventory, the demand is still crazy even as we keep raising prices. Shipments coming in are barely coming in on schedule.. I’m bracing for utter mayhem come September, we’ve already lost 7-8 customers who have shut their doors..expecting this to increase once it slows down going into fall.

I have a few key suppliers who are now shipping additional product in 2022 at EARLIEST. I talk to everyone at supplier companies and they are fukking overwhelmed and many are preparing new price increases.

For some stuff like specialized hardware (spare parts, electronics) they are forcing you to prove you have real demand if you aren't an established customer to make sure you aren't a hoarder.

On the labor side you better consider upping wages at least by a fourth to keep people. Otherwise they are bouncing around. My big fear is a shyt load of counterfeit stuff is about to flood the market due to shortages and prices. If you know a food testing lab I would contact them if you get anything suspicious or "too good to be true". PCR validation like this may help save you from getting scammed: Fish Speciation Testing
