I should do that. Do you recommend anything specifically?

Unfortunately, I dont. The reason why I said that is because theres a ton of books on depression that I've seen at my barnes and noble. My nearest barnes and noble isnt that big either so would imagine yours may have a bigger and better selection from their inventory. Check them out though. At least you get to check the books out before you buy them unlike Amazon which could be inaccurate. Actually just had to return a book back because the description was inaccurate

This shyt sounds like something j Cole would rap and sing over.. it also sounds like it could be played in the highlight reel after losing a game in nba2k. As well as lebron if he loses another championship

Why should Black Men jsut be rappers? And singers? When we've done much more than that?

And I ain't even downing black mens decisions to be rappers...I'm just saying...I'm sick of us pigeonholing ourselves into just one or a few genres?

Just like why should we be content with all these black movies about slavery and racism. When we can have black sci-fi? Or blakc action movies? or black romantic comedies? Or black fantasy movies?

This pandemic and isolation made me realize, we can't let art and music stagnate like this....we got to continue making this great damit!

Now I love hip-hop but I get frustrated going into the booth and reading threads like "rapper x has been arrested on gun trafficking charges" or "rapper z has been arrested on assault and battery in connection with..."

I love hip-hop but I get sick of the negativity associated with it for real...
:snoop:
I get frustrated with the fact that white rappers can be themselves, but even in rap we as black men can't even really be ourselves. Like we either got to be in the streets...or hustling...or have moved work...or we gotta be gang affiliated....can we just be regular black dudes or black nerds doing this? That's why I fukked with odd future when they started and pharrell and lupe and kanye...at the end of the day I';m just a suburban bred skater black nerd..I'm not and never was "bout that life".

I think about these type of things when I'm at events playing on stage or I'm in the crowd as one of the few black people doing my thing...like how did it get to this?
:patrice::jbhmm:
I hate it when people be like "black peopel don't listen to this" when it's like I have been listening to "this" longer than some people been alive!
