Right now just lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and carrots...I haven't made an actual garden yet. I just drilled holes in the bottom of a kiddie pool and some home depot buckets

I just wanted to be able to make a salad whenever but I may experiment on more stuff once a make a plot

That’s so creative! I was going to build a raised bed but it seemed labor intensive. I have things in a milk crake now. I’ve been playing with growing things from scraps, so far lettuce, but I’m going to try turmeric, ginger, and potatoes soon. I want to find a rectangular box for those. My neighbor gave me some mint and that’s been doing well.

I think I’ve had enough todaying for today.

Watching footage of Black men and women killed period-but especially by authorities-drains me and I struggle with whether I “should” watch it as news or if I’m being too sensitive. It literally takes my breath away and makes my eyes well up.

I have a little area that I keep turned over for planting every summer. I gave planting seeds in egg shells a go during the winter and had a little luck with green beans and squash. I just planted the whole thing shell and all giving the plant and ground more nutrients.
I feel like your garden is only as good as your dirt is. I always start with good garden soil and turn it along with the earth.

Pot planting is excellent when you don't wanna mess with a bunch of plants. You can still yield a lot if you keep them watered and "dead headed."

South Central Los Angeles
As big as Ross was, his interstate operation was quickly surpassed by another South-Central up-and-comer, Brian Bennett, an audacious young dealer with the nickname “Waterhead Bo.” In just two years, from 1986 to 1988, authorities contend that he rose from inner-city poverty to the heights of “high-roller” status, building one of “the largest cocaine distribution groups headed by a black trafficker,” said former Assistant U.S. Atty. Russell Hayman. Just 24, Bennett was selling more than a ton of crack a week.
