Are black men being “left behind”?

Since college, it seemed like Black men were always “the forgotten” people.

E-Boards of almost all black orgs I was in were women, save the African Student Association.

I just bumped into a girl from college that I hadn't seen in almost a year. From our convo she seems to be doing pretty well for her self. Good job, does TEDx type speeches for money, founded a travel service agency, got this little podcast thing etc. Just turned 23. Thing is, I know quite a number of young black ladies in my circle like that, very ambitious.

For dudes though, it’s a different case. Perhaps dudes are more lowkey about their ambitions. Perhaps dudes take a little longer before they get their act together?

Even in Corp America, so few brehs out here. In my company there are only like 10 brehs out of a 400 person company. Of the 10 brehs, 3 are obese, 3 aren't straight and then the remaining are regular dudes that you’d chop it up with.

Only 1 breh has a senior management role, compared to like 4 black women. Black women out number black men like 5 to one.

I’m really interested to see what the landscape is gonna look like in 5-10 years.

I've been doing a lot of cooking since my girl took me to the dope ass farmers market on the east side. Quality/fresh ingredients make a nikka want to experiment in the kitchen.

Just threw a rack of ribs in the oven, got a variety pack of sam adams and she upstairs sleeping peacefully. Life is good.

S/N: she REALLY likes your daughters name @Rawtid

The short answer is yes but twitter feminists and elite college women alumni don’t care
