I'm a black man. I don't have a degree but I have a few certs relative to childcare because I worked in childcare and as a cook for years. I still do. I'm going to school in January for a culinary cert. Maybe I can complete my credits for my culinary cert and use them to transfer to university. I don't care about making a bunch of money because I like teaching, and I can make money cooking because I've established myself in the field. I have to go to school to make more money and it's got me thinking about going all the way. it'll take 2 years to complete my culinary cert. I might as well commit 2 more years and get a bacherlor's.

Maybe look into getting a bachelor's in culinary and that will allow you to do a master's in education and save you some time. That all depends on what level you want to teach...but I'm sure you'll figure it out lol.

I think a bachelor's in culinary is the best choice for me. I appreciate the support fam. Luckily I live in California. California is big on education.
