My pop side is from Guadeloupe but I didn't meet my pops until I was like a freshman or sophomore in high school. Which was like maybe 4 or 5 years ago. Still learning about that side. Been learning french as well as creole. Creole isn't hard for me my vocab is just limited and I don't understand contractions well. Like for example Mwen pral manje demen. Contracted would be like M' pral manje demen. It get's confusing listening to it spoken so I just say the pronouns fully.
