I think fasting is good for people who aren’t active, but If you’re working out, fasting can make you feel weak and tired.You should try fasting three days a week. It's a lot easier than it sounds and has many advantages.

You're spot on about the exercise part but It's more acclimatization that needs to be built up. My current limit is 72 hours, but I've heard of people fasting for weeks and feeling fine to walk about and go to work. Their bodies can't be normal.
