At least on Tumblr folks are having discourse on actual lived experiences.
Ppl on here speaking on shyt they don't know ANYTHING about at all.
Making up theories and shyt and everyone going with it.
I think it's a fair comparison.
Which is why I drew a similar one when responding to Grendel.
BUT, and this is important, Tumblr is several orders of magnitude larger than theColi.
And the smaller the community, the more rigid the guidelines for contributing to its discourse.
This is why city people are typically more open-minded than rural townsfolk.
The pressure to conform to one particular set of beliefs is stronger in smaller groups.
AND, to be fair, you have no clue who's making up shyt on Tumblr either.
But I do think it's a much more appealing site, simply because it's not text-based.
Both have their strengths, weaknesses, and overlaps.
The show just gets
better with this information.
