Well fortunately I'm not in Cali. But from video convos with my Mom, it looks beautiful. July most likely will be a beast though. Not jealous of that.

I'm in DC currently. So the humidity is bothering me. Plus the occasional rain. Since in Cali it is extremely rare for it to rain in the Summer. Well at least when I lived there.

But enough with me. How have you been? You live up North or down South right? I apologise. My memory is not so good in June.

I'm in South Florida right now....Summer is what you expect....The best weather in any part of the US. :blessed:Bout to go visit some fam in Vermont for the 4th and I'll see how it is over there.

That's just children being children.
It's part of their psychological development to prize the acceptance of their peers above all else.
It's an evolutionary trait we developed to facilitate our survival as harmonious groups.
What's scarier is the adults that participate in these activities with the exact same validation- & approval-seeking behavior of teenagers.

And I know you were being facetious, but striking a silly pose or playing with some household items & uploading it to social media is orders of magnitude easier than doing the work necessary to build a healthy self-esteem or develop a marketable skill.

Add to that, the fact that the music industry is owned by conscienceless corporations that use their artists as salesmen to advertise their products & you get the "music" that is so thick with product placement & brand name dropping, that one couldn't pick a more effective method to massage into the minds of the masses the idea that owning these consumer products is the key to happiness & fulfillment. That's exactly what society's most psychologically vulnerable & impressionable, kids, are consuming on a daily basis.


Is it any wonder then that things are the way they are?

Except, Buddhism is a non-theistic religion though. :patrice:
It's more like philosophy to interpret one's experiences by than a moral code undergirded by spirituality.
