@DoubleClutch

This is a good vid

Seems like every ancient civilization was struggling with the idea of 1 supreme God in the midst of worshiping lesser gods they could relate to or make images of

While they may have been monotheistic at its core only in Judaism was it made clear “no other gods before me” as a commandment by God himself

You @MMS could argue all other religions kinda “paved the way” or tried and failed where Judaism succeeded

Or you could say Judaism or the God of Israel was the God of all these people all along. They just weren’t the “chosen ones” clearly and didn’t obey or understand God 100%.

Just don’t like at their beliefs but look at their lifestyle and culture.

Obviously there’s more to this topic/situation I could elaborate on from my POV but nice video. I dunno why It took me a year to watch :youngsabo:

Yea so that’s why Jesus is the messiah. No other religion had a human representation on earth of God to make it real.

The end :hubie:

Muslims (Arabs) don’t understand this so they call Christians the “monotheists” of this era as if they are the “new Jews” appointed to defend monotheism :manny:

I’ll just quote someone from a different debate.

“When you don’t believe Jesus is lord, you can make the Bible out to say anything” :yeshrug:
i like that part where God killed every firstborn child in egypt, but he judges women for getting an abortion :ehh:

seems like consistency is not this guy's strong suit

I don’t really consider Jesus an “avatar”.

But what are the names of these 10 vishnu avatars? When were they born and when did they die? What did they accomplish on earth historically?

And more importantly how did they lead Indian people to Monotheism?

“Vishnu is revered along with Shiva and Brahma”

Tridevi is stated to be the energy and creative power (Shakti) of each, with Lakshmi being the equal complementary partner of Vishnu.[13] He is one of the five equivalent deities in Panchayatana puja of the Smarta tradition of Hinduism.“

:whoo:

You're better off defending Islam than Hinduism

you just asked as simple question

No other religion had a human representation on earth of God to make it real.
this is broadly stated unless that wasnt your intent

at what boundary do you think God made man, such that the world of man becomes blurred :jbhmm:

People still blaming God for “bad things” that happen on earth done by humans? :snoop:

People have free will.

You’re “not afraid” of God, fair enough.

But why would you fear something you don’t believe in?:manny:

Were your Uncles Christians? :jbhmm:

Nevermind just link me to some good video game music on YouTube :heh:

with the context of the vishnu statue, i thought the aladdin stage was telling of the war between Muslims and Hindus :skip:

at the highest levels according to the Lamp:

the thief is attempting to find a lamp while having stones hurled at him by statues, bats that bite him, djinn that bite him, and a mega djinn that signifies the A and B button on the players controller. If you manage to beat that djinn a magic carpet takes you to the lamp

but how does it appear from the statues perspective :jbhmm:

Ash-Shu`arā’ 69-82
Relate to them ˹O Prophet˺ the story of Abraham,
when he questioned his father and his people, “What is that you worship ˹besides Allah˺?”
they replied, “We worship idols, to which we are fully devoted.”
Abraham asked, “Can they hear you when you call upon them?
Or can they benefit or harm you?”
They replied, “No! But we found our forefathers doing the same.”
Abraham responded, “Have you ˹really˺ considered what you have been worshipping—
you and your ancestors?
They are ˹all˺ enemies to me, except the Lord of all worlds.
˹He is˺ the One Who created me, and He ˹alone˺ guides me.
˹He is˺ the One Who provides me with food and drink.
And He ˹alone˺ heals me when I am sick.
And He ˹is the One Who˺ will cause me to die, and then bring me back to life.
And He is ˹the One˺ Who, I hope, will forgive my flaws1 on Judgment Day.”
