As a light-skinned Brotha find myself more attracted to dark-skinned Black women than light-skinned Black women on some Drake and Serena shyt. Why is that? Is it my genes telling me I'm straying away from Africa and to go back to my roots? The world will never know.

Me too even though I like my light brite's too. I love my brown-dark skinned women.

i kinda agree, i'm considered light-skinned by people i know but yeah i prefer Dark-Skinned Black women, but other than that i date all shades.

it's weird people consider me light-skinned, i'm like Jay-Z's skin color and i think i'm brown-skinned

that is LS. i see people defining skin tone in two ways here

1. setting the standard in comparison to white people. these are the "beyonce ain't even light skin" posters.

2. setting the standard in comparison to black people (i.e. africans) . these are the "tyra banks is light skin" type of posters.

personally i agree with way #2 since we're black & shouldn't be considering whites in what is dark/light for a black person.
